One point I read from a post by merrix in another thread is that when your partner feels horny but you cannot measure up to the moment because of the waiting time for ED drugs to take effect, that was the time I decided that the only real solution to ED is implants.

However, I am obsessed about the size of my dick and have these one or two questions:-

a) would I have back my original size after implantation,
b) can ED drugs still be used for fuller, rounded-up erections after inflation and
c) can any method of PE still be used after implantation (traction, fillers, etc.)?

I realize that this is the last resort procedure and there cannot be any regrets afterwards.

I"m still new here (implanted one month ago), but here goes.

Impossible to know whether you'll lose size. Probably, but how much is a factor involving the skill of your surgeon and luck.

ED meds can help you get an enlarged glans, but they won't do anything for the rest of the penis as far as erections.

No to PE. Vacuum and traction might do damage (wait for others to chime in on this)

Implants are the last option, but if you're not getting good consistent results with anything else, you should strongly consider them. I wasted a lot of time and money using Viagra and injections, and having little or no results. I should have done an implant five years ago.

First, being obsessed about anything is generally not productive. Regarding your inquiries I'll give you my opinions:

a) The top tier surgeons generally do not have problems with size reductions. Also, there are pre-op protocols you can employ to prevent (or significantly reduce) penis shortening after surgery. There are also post op protocols you can employ to recover penis length. Generally though, you're not going to come away with more than what you brought to the operating room.
b) Yes, one can still use the ED drugs after the surgery--but why do the surgery and continue the drugs?
c) A definite NO to the other PE devices because they can damage the implant.

If size and shape are close to the top of the list around a decision to have or not have an implant I am concerned regarding why you are having the implant. The reason to have an implant like others have said here is to fix a broken penis that won't get erect. If you have other options to maintain an erection you should continue to use those. Once those are intolerable or not working then consider an implant by a top high volume surgeon you feel will talk with you after the implant. With the right surgeon you will have a high likelihood of maintaining your length and girth and having a stiff erection that will allow penetrative sex. Clearly it is reasonable to be concerned about losing size but as others have said a high volume surgeon is unlikely to have that kind of result. Just be sure that 90% of your decision Is to fix a limp penis that can't be done by other methods.

Thanks KM. I note from Don's post that the ED drugs would help the glans which is what I'd like. I keep the other points so I'll have realistic expectations. The decision for the implant is to have and keep an erection when I want to. I have had so much frustration because I couldn't cope with spur of the moment situations with ED drugs and it does go limp during the act ...

Have you tried the cilias one a day pill? - That could be your magic fix... to not having to opt for an implant

I would agree with what others have said.
If you do get good (enough) results with pills, then stay with them.
Implant is for when pills don't work. Waiting 30 minutes for the pills to work their magic is still better than going for an implant in my opinion. But Cialis takes away a lot of the timing issue with Viagra. Have you tried them?

As to your questions:

a) I was implanted with Eid. He promised all the time that my size would be what he measured my injection-induced erection to. We measured together and agreed on the result. And he stood for his promise. I lost 0 mm of length. He said girth would be at least same but probably larger after some time. I am two months out now and it is exactly same as pre op.

b) They can. But then why get implanted? If you don't like to wait 30 minutes for your sex act now, then why would you want to wait for your pills to take effect after your implant surgery? If pills work now - don't get implanted.

c) Don't know. I never had that problem and don't know anything about it.

I do not think there is a definite answer to your questions. I have talked on the phone to guys that had several implants, lost considerable size and finally found docs who resized them so they regained part of what they lost but never all. Others here claim to be same size or slightly bigger but some of those will state longer but slimmer, or fatter but shorter.
Glans. I saw a doc today. One question I had was the glans. It does not engorge any more. He said it won't and most who tell you it will are blowing smoke. Some people are lucky, some are not. Some here say they still take Viagra and get a fuller glans. One guy told me his wife sucks him for 30 minutes to get it fuller, then he pumps his implant up to proceed. A friend of a friend got an implant so he did not have to use Viagra. He is upset he still has to use Viagra to get his glans fattened. He is not happy and says it is still a lot of work. Others have had injections which last one year at $1000 a pop or grafted fillers. I have had Hyaluronic acid filler before ( 4 times) and my body would absorb it in less than two weeks. I don't think there are any assurances. Getting the best possible doc with the most experience who is not a complete arrogant ass and listens to your concerns would be your very best bet. I did everything wrong in this regard and now get to do it again. Not trying to be a mood killer but trying to be honest. We all tend to read and dwell on the information that tells us what we like to hear and not listen to the bad because it is not the answer we want. I have to say, my dick implant expectations went that way when I got on the forums also. In retrospect, I know now I was forewarned but did not pay adequate attention, instead listening to those who told stories that met the goal I was searching for. Be well. I had to read alibaba's post three times to get the full import of what he was saying. For one, I was hit spot on in that I was researching to find the answers that suited me and not objectively.

I used viagra for several years but now fails big time. I know that the cycle is the same for all the other drugs. I won't lose anything going by the advice of merrix, bob and others. However, on the one hand are the embarassment and low self-esteem that goes with each cycle which I wanted to forego, especially as I have read many posts of members who regreted not having done the procedure many years before. On the other hand are the realities of a lost gamble.

From this thread alone, it's clear that implants is a last resort. I feel that I have been snatched from falling over a cliff and I find the forum extremely valuable.

oowright, it gets down to our sexuality is highly emotional. Some of us let those emotions get ahead of reasonable thought. I've spent a good part of my life and made a good deal of my living as an adviser to others, mostly in the capacity when all else fails they come to me ( being the one with the final and correct answer is where the money is), but I KNOW after getting my implant, I let myself down, my wife down and the thieving pain in the ass insurance company down by letting emotions grasp what I wanted to hear instead of letting reasonable thought command. I've a whole notebook on notes from my implant journey to get one, doctors, phone numbers, what they had to say and costs. At this point I'd say I let cost and convenience outweigh all good common sense a practice I tried to avoid since the 90's as it does not work in the long run and I damn well expect to be using this dick a long long time. My wife was not made by Firestone so I doubt she can be worn out. I Hope to get a new implant soon and move on. Once you get an implant there is no going back. That was my big concern that kept me from seeking one for 2 years. Be well. find the best doc you can. A very very good doc will not sell you an implant straight out of the bag. He will work with you to see if there are less invasive fixes but urologists are an odd lot of docs and those kind seem very hard to find. I think I've found one again. Best of luck to you.
