Gone BIONIC 2/19/16 JOURNAL

Postby Papou1 » Fri Feb 19, 2016 11:55 pm

Well guys. I've finally gotten it done. Just got back from the hospital at 10:30 pm. My wife is exhausted and after som chicken soup I'm finally back in my own bed, partially inflated and catheter taped to my side to avoid any movement. I am still benefiting from the pain meds so my feelings are really those of relief and exhilaration. It's finally done. Now the healing begins.
The catheter is uncomfortable but it's the balls that are really hurting. I guess it's the pump placement, not sure but I can't sit at all. Have to lay flat for some relief.
Yesterday Doc Brady called and asked me what were my main goals with the surgery. I told him I wanted to get rid of the severe upward curvature which stole an inch in length and the left curvature due to peyronies. He said he was going to do an unconventional procedure. Rather than the scrotal approach he would go in through the original circumcision scar and get rid of as much scar tissue as possible. Everything was done through that one incision. Hard to believe.

I can only hope that it worked. He showed me the pictures of my erection and it looks like it worked. I guess time will tell. The encouraging part is he seemed very pleased.
I will keep you guys posted. Papou1

heal well! I read about it once but you are the first I've heard that actually received an inflatable implant through the circ scar. You may be a medical pioneer! cheers.

Pfracture, basically most of what I know about implantation techniques I learned from this forum as well as from my doctor. The forum has provided more detail and frankly elaborated on what doc has said. Doctor Brady decided, with consultation, at the last minute to proceed in the direction of entrance through the circ scar. When I woke up I asked if there were any other incisions and he said no. I will get more details on Monday which I look forward to sharing here. I was too doped up after surgery to get details.
As for last night I didn't sleep that well. Not having to get up and pee was the only benefit of the catheter which I can't wait to remove. The pain is limited to the lower scrotum. I can't sit so laying in bed or sitting in the recliner is my only option I'm going to take a walk later this evening cause the huge bulge in my pants is obvious and best hidden during nite time
I am thrilled this surgery is over. I look forward to a quick recovery. I will share pictures when I get them on Monday.

Hospital meds are wearing off. Just took an oxy. Moved from my recliner to my bed. I'm feeling lots of pressure in my balls. Using my ice pack. 30 minutes on and five minutes off. :o Keeping weight off my butt helps. The drain I have is slowly diminishing in output. That's good. But I am uncomfortable and trying to sleep but can't. Maybe if I watch some election coverage  that will put me to sleep. Or piss me off! Be back later.

Papou1 - Congratulations. I am exactly 1 week ahead of you so hope to read more as times goes by.

As far as the pain in the balls and not being able to sit - I too had/have that.
Uro showed me how to unravel a long roll of wide lint, wad it up, before placing it under the balls with one end of the lint reaching up over the balls to the vertical penis before finally putting on the tight underwear.
Helps me "sit" more often

Please do not watch the political circus. Being immobilized, the closest thing to find to break will be your new unit. Must not break the new unit! :o

Hey there palace01. I can't picture what you're describing. I am seeing uro Monday and I'll ask him about it. Can't do any work if I can't sit at my desk. Do now just lying in bed and in my recliner.

There was a video a year or so of the implant being installed this way but I cannot find a link to it now. There are some installing the rod type this way.
