Deflating the AMS 700 MS Series
Re: Deflating the AMS 700 MS Series
Unfortunately, auto inflation directs fluid to the cylinders also. Straining for a BM or just having a full colon can self inflate. When your reservoir is making space for itself, it doesn't take much to self inflate. The recommended procedure is one full pump after deflating. That should shift the valve and at least limit the self inflation. And yes, it puts some fluid back in the cylinders. I can pump almost 40 pumps so what is 1 pump? Better than self inflating to 20% according to my math.

Re: Deflating the AMS 700 MS Series
Tonight was my first time, inflating and deflating. Like others, I am having trouble finding the deflate button. I can feel the square edges of the pump base, but can't really feel a protruding bump in between the edges to depress. So I've just been pressing where I know (or figure) it ought to be, while squeezing my penis. I never have gotten it to a totally flaccid state, and I don't think the doctor did either, after the surgical implantation. He said it was just the two deflated tubes that make it feel somewhat stiffer. I wish I knew what the trick is to positively locate and identify the deflate button. I am left-handed, and I think that may be making it even more awkward for me, as well. Any advice would be appreciated.

Here's a photo of what the pump looks like. The deflate button is the circular object you see in the middle of the photo. One problem with inflating might be because the inflate button is only on one side. When feeling for the button you might have to adjust the deflate/inflate mechanism so that the deflate button is always up. I frequently have to flip the thing over like a pancake. Hope this is helpful.

The trick to this is time and patience. As kmeister said look at the "keychain fob", I had to get my keychain fob and hold it while I felt around for the button but it worked for me. You may not realize it but there is still a lot of swelling. In the future it will be a one handed , non-issue operation almost as easy and natural as pulling it out to urinate. Yes that will also return to a normal.

Try a warm bath. Will make things easier to feel down there
Re: Deflating the AMS 700 MS Series
I have the same problem, hard to find the deflate button, not enough deflation. It's like I have a 80% erection but it's able to bend to the side so I can tuck it into my underpants. My pump is very stiff and does not deflect much when trying to inflate, like it has too much pressure in it. I read about other guys having to pump multiple times to inflate, one or two partial pumps does it for me.

I still cannot get it working but thats just me - However I agree that Hot Bath (maybe with Epsom Salts makes it a lot easier to 'feel around'...
