short and flexible
short and flexible
Well we have finally been having intercourse if you can call it that with my short and flexible penis since I was last posting here a while ago. The wife just keeps saying I need to pump it up more - I squeeze until it doesn't do anything and have even tried waiting 15 minutes and trying to squeeze some more. The only way we can even have real intercourse is with her on top. It won't even stay in in any other position as short as it is. I think there are two issues - one if how much shorter it is after years of atrophy and the fact the base is not stiff like a natural erection. The surgeon did go with the expandable LGX but it really doesn't stretch that much. When it is fully inflated it is pushing right into the glans so I can't really blame the doctor for the reduced length. If I sound discouraged I am and it doesn't help seeing how disappointed my wife is with the results at this point. I plan to go back in and let the doctor pump it up and comment on what little I have but I doubt there is much more he can do.
Age 68 - AMS LGX 12+2cm. Lost over an inch from pre-ED length but thicker for what it's worth (not much). ED result of heart meds.

I'm starting to wonder if the whole LGX thing was more hype than reality. Still, I'm not sure what else you can do other than what you're doing. A trip to the doctor's office sounds like a good idea. Did you get your op report? The facility where your operation was performed must provide you with a copy at your request; it's the law. What size cylinders, etc., do you have?

I also feel I lost a bit of length to atrophy in the 2.5 years between my RP and my first implant. My 5.5" is a bit smaller (maybe 3/4") than my "younger dick". My implant is a Titan, but it seems most everybody losses a little length.
Experiment with positions. "Cowgirl" also works best for me .... I pretty much hold my partner "straight up" as if she bends to far forward I'll slip out. My arms are pretty much straight out with my hands on her boobs or shoulders, depending on how hard we are "driving". Other positions like doggie don't work quite the same as pre-RP, but if I modify my or her position, such as pushing down on her mid back to put her pussy at a better angle it works well.
The "hinge" at the base also takes some getting used to.... My "old dick" didn't hinge (remember trying to take a piss with a hard on?).
Keep trying and try not to get too discouraged ... You'll both get used to it and have some great fun.... Good luck!!!!!

I agree with LMCatman. Cowboy works well for my wife and I or her on top which is a position that she prefers anyway. I also have the LGX. I did loose just a little. I think I have regained a bit of that back as I am about 1 1/2 years post op. Hang in there buddy. It will happen.

Re: short and flexible
KMeister, I am wondering the same if LGX hype. The more I inquire, the more i think it is an outdated product that has the capabilityfrom a design standpoint to do what the say but from the reality standpoint not. Interestingly, I find nothing on the AMS/Boston Scientific site that says this thing has the capability to expand in both length and girth an additional 20% like we have been led to believe. The old web site had that information to best I recall. Also, there seems to be a growing number of doctors who used to install AMS now installing Coloplast. Something is making the water muddy. Boston Scientific's purchase of AMS is starting to red flag to me like a lot of other corporate sales. Reasons for sales vary from attained their maximum potential, lack of profitability, refusal to invest in the product or product sales and support, product issues they want to avoid, past its useful sales/design life, pending litigation, need for expensive new product design changes; it is an endless list and i've seen sales for all those reasons. I question the web site, but one web site I looked at a couple weeks ago said Boston Scientific is part of the low cost foreign ( to the States) drug manufacturer Endo which specializes in generic drugs. If someone can confirm or disclaim that, please do. I have been quite short on time myself to search this lately.

Found this AMS/B.S. link https://americanmedicalsystems.com/en/p ... l#Overview that states:
● AMS 700TM Inflatable Penile Prosthesis (LGX): Cylinders designed to optimize Length and Girth expansion with up to 20% elongation possible, depending on patient’s anatomy¹
● AMS 700TM Inflatable Penile Prosthesis (CX): Controlled expansion cylinders optimize girth and offer additional length options
Footnote 1 says: 1. F. Montorsi, et al. AMS Three-Piece Inflatable Implants for Erectile Dysfunction: A Long-Term Multi-Institution Study in 200 Consecutive Patients: Eur Urol. 2000; 37: 50-55.
The study footnoted above is 16 years old. Interestingly, the glans end tips, the grooves where the tip extensions snap on, the angle of the tubing exiting the cylinder, the release button, the sleeve over the tubing that exits the cylinder, and the substantial expansion of the inflated cylinder in the picture do not match the sample cylinder I was shown in Doctor Milam's office. Also, if the cylinders are expanded as shown, the reservoir should be flat rather than round. Nit picking? Maybe, but there should be a degree of reality to the picture. Notice B.S. states 20% elongation possible but it does not say how much girth increase is possible.
