Hi Moetheman. As I'm a Londoner living in Texas I find your story even more interesting. I'm 3 weeks Post-Op and also very concerned about length so please keep blogging.
BTW, Page-1 of your Blog was also heavily involved with marriage problems with STRONG suggestions to work on that and get couples counselling.
Did it help - Do hope she is supporting you through your revision ideas and looking forward to a longer version...
Cheers Dave

I've just been quite busy at work lately and trying to prepare for the revision with tons of paperwork and pre-op tests in the UK. Hoping to get clearance by mid next week. I will be publishing more details about my revision journey in the coming weeks. I'm just trying to make sure at the moment that all the hurdles are cleared before starting a detailed blog...

As for marriage problems, I haven't been to any counselling. I know that the main issue I've had is ED, otherwise the marriage was perfect. I don't even blame my wife at all as ED just consumed me over the years. I have been feeling much more positive the past few weeks so it feels great. I think what I need more than anything else is to get this ED issue fixed. The marriage problems to be honest come second (for the time being anyway). I need to fix the cause, be a happier person, before I can make someone else happy. As it happens though, my wife will be accompanying me for the revision so I'm grateful for that. However for the time being the focus is on getting me fixed... one problem at a time :)

No counsel can fix ED and if that is the root, then root needs fixing. Wife commented to me last night that you are young and if worse outcome a non working dick is not a good way to begin a new relationship either. We are praying for you and sincerely think the MAN is going to have you in good working order in a short bit. Patience wife as you are soon going to be ravaged. Cheers.

Your wife is quite right, I'm not willing to re-start or begin anything new until I have the ED sorted. Thanks for both your prayers. I like your last comment... I'm definitely planning on making up for lost time

I've been tirelessly trying to organise the revision with Eid. I've had so much to deal with the last few weeks, not just ED. Financial and work strains have kind of taken a toll too but I've put all my focus on the revision with Eid. I am seeing Eid on Tuesday for the pre-op consultation and on the 23rd if all goes well, I'll be having my revision done by the man himself. I must admit I've been feeling very nervous the last week or so. I feel like so much is riding on this and I keep worrying in case something goes wrong leading up to the surgery and it has to be cancelled. So far so good and everything is pretty much done as much as possible. Just need to get through to the operating room and hope for the best....

Don't stress. Things be what they be. Once you have done your part all that is left is for the man to do his and you are seeing a good man that clearly wants to do his best for everyone. It will be over before you know it. I see the doctor about getting my disaster remanufactured in an hour. Best of luck to you and keep us posted. I know it is not a simple walk around the corner to the clinic for you to get this done......but once you get everything in line it is woo hoo, I'm on my way! ..Damn you would think they would figure out a way to mass produce working dicks by now.......Cheers bud.

A bit of caution on this one. It's not uncommon for a medical issue to occur, causing a strain on a marriage be that medical issue cancer, heart disease, injuries--including paralysis--due to a automobile accident, etc. But when a couple get married they vow that each partner will love and support the other "in sickness or health." It is often not the medical issue itself that causes problems in a relationship but the reaction one partner has--or both partners have--to it. (You mentioned that the ED consuming you for years and your less than positive attitude is what caused problems in the marriage.) For example, if my ED had been permanent I know my wife wouldn't have loved me any less, and we would have continued to enjoy a loving, faithful, happy marriage. Couples live with all kinds of medical maladies that significantly alter but do not damage the relationship. Just a bit of food for thought.

I'm mainly thinking about resolving my ED at the moment and not really thinking about the relationship right now. However I don't think life is always black or white. We all live by different morals and values and have different expectations. I don't really want to get into a debate about marriage vows etc as I have other items on my agenda at the moment but maybe another time.....

I just had the revision done with Dr Eid earlier today. I'm still feeling very weak at the knees after the spinal anaesthesia. Lying in bed currently at the hotel. I think it was a tricky revision and it took longer than anticipated and Eid said that it was a difficult procedure due to the scar tissue buildup. There was also some cloudy fluid around the pump so he sent the sample off to the lab to be tested. The result won't be back for a full week. The wife and I are feeling really anxious now as an infection will mean having to take the new implant out. Eid said to wait and see but wouldn't comment much more at this stage. The only positive is that I didn't have any swelling or pain around the pump. I was cycling aggressively using both hands so don't know if that contributed.

As for the implant size itself, I had the exact same outcome as Merrix. Eid put in 22cm Titan with 1cm RTE. However he thought he might be able to put in a larger device so he put in the 24cm Titan afterwards. He really is a perfectionist. I'm glad I chose him. Just really worried about the possibility of infection. Nothing more that can be done for now. Fingers crossed. Oh and I have to keep the Catheter in till Monday.
