The dick that will never be right again

Postby alibaba » Fri Mar 18, 2016 4:49 pm

Had the office visit with Dr. Lavine today. Outcome:
It pumped up hard the first time he tried in 15 pumps. Why? Who knows. It never has before...EVER. Why
couldn't any other doctor get it to work? I asked debris in the pump? He said possible. He tells me the key
is to pump it as few times as possible because the pumps come apart and fail.

Still has the curve to the left. He advises modelling for the next couple years. In other words pump it up and bend it straight.

I told him that the Patient Assistance person at AMS/Boston told me to keep pumping the hell out of it 200 pumps for another
6 months to 2 years. He said that is correct. He said I've installed thousands of these implants.

Agrees that many of the aspects of the pump and tubing placement are not ideal nor the way he would install it and most people
find it very uncomfortable installed the way mine is, but most are sedate old men, not young and active so they deal with it.

Dr. Lavine said he could not find my reservoir and it was very likely it was moving around in the pocket of muscle somewhere. I swear it has moved down quite a bit and that is where the stabs of pain have started coming from the last week which changes when I pump it.

Tells me to learn to live with it. Not worth the risk of having surgical complications to try to fix it and most people are very
uncomfortable with the tubing sticking out all the time, just an issue with infrapubic. He would not have done it
that way. Just deal with it or wait till something fails. Something will fail at some point, likely the pump first.

I asked about the spermatic cord wrapped around the pump. He says there is testicular tissue wrapped around the pump, just get
used to it and see how it plays out after a couple years.

I asked about the glans not engorging. He said that is common and do not let anyone inject Radiesse or transplant fat in it. Those
will cause more glans problems in the future.

I asked what to do about it. He says try Muse but in his experience it only works 5% of the time. I asked about trimix gel. He gave
me a prescription. Wanted me to fill it here but it was $37 a dose. I just wanted a swelled up glans, not hire a hooker. The
prescription is no good at a compounding pharmacy because it does not tell the recipe of the mix.

I asked about the length issue and he said losing 1 3/4" from the prostatectomy is normal.

I asked about the loss in girth and loss in length from the implant. He had left by then and left me with his surgical assistant. She
said everyone
loses size. my wife interrupted and asks " but a loss of 1 3/4"? She replies EVERYBODY people lose that much or more. I
was not sure I heard correctly and asked my wife. She confirmed she said everybody loses at least an inch. My wife said
"So losing 3 1/2 inches from a prostatectomy and getting an implant is normal?" She said "yes it is".

I asked what are my option? I came in here with 8 issues we went over. Only 2 were addressed. Live with it or have this thing
removed and throw it in the trash, correct? She tells me any local urologist at home can remove it. It will take a skilled one
if I ever want to put another in after it is removed.

Result: I am upset. Felt like crying for an hour. Went back to our son's house. His neighbor cut down a tree so I split it by hand.
Didn't feel like crying after beating the crap out of a locust and a pine tree in the center of Chicago
but mood not much better. 3 days time wasted
and $800 for nothing. Why the hell can't a person get a dick worked on, and make it close to as usable as it used to be? When I was leaving they asked me to sign MORE forms to release my information on subsequent visits.
I told I would not sign it as I will not be back. I wish I NEVER had an implant. WORST decision I've ever made. Penis was barely
usable with the vacuum pump and trimix and not getting better but it was something usable and I was at least maintaining the size I had after the screwing the prostatectomy gave us. This damn thing is not useable. This shit
to get used to what it is now is unbearable.

I feel really bad for you alibaba. I'm sure these answers are incorrect based on all the posts on FT. I'm also in a similar boat, and am pinning my hopes on Eid to see what can be achieved. If it's not much better than before then I will also deem the whole implant journey a massive failure. However I still have faith that we can get some of our lost length back in a revision. They're right, it will definitely take a very skilled surgeon though. Let's see how I get on next week, if it works out well for me then it might give you some hope too.

Keep your spirits up as much as you can. Easier said than done but I know you're STRONG.

'Everyone loses size' - what a crap! If you go to a good doctor you won't lose length. That's what my doctor had told me and he was right. I haven't lost anything. He said that many surgeons are unable to measure properly or they are afraid the implant would protrude. That's why the give you an implant which is too short. Ali, go to Eid or Kramer, you are wasting your time with the wrong ones.

I do not know what to think. I went to Lavine today on the recommendation of my internist who said he had some patients that had multiple implant issues and Lavine was the one who finally fixed them after several tries by other doctors. I talked to the patients he fixed, one for 2 hours.

Alibaba, why not go to Eid? Or at least call and do an email exchange so he can get an idea as to whether you can be helped. We exchanged emails, and I haven't heard back, so I'm assuming I can't be helped.

Very few guys here have said they lost that much, and it seems like Eid's patients say they lost 1/4" or some crazy low number.

Eid measured my erect dick day before surgery. We agreed on the measurement. He said 'this is what you will get after surgery. Nothing more, nothing less'.
He was right.

Alibaba.... you know what? fuck! I can't get you! I feel sorry for you, because you indeed had problems with your problem which is a legitimate concern. But then, you know the two best doctors you can go to and you feel like going again to another different doctor? like.... what the hell? just get yourself together and go to Eid or Kramer and stop this NONSENSE! STOP IT!

Made 1 goal, missed another by a couple years, then spent all I gained on medical bills, an area where I've never had luck. I've had a few great doctors, friends who are researchers, I've been friends of those who worked for presidents, been to governor's balls and had sit down visits with governors but cannot seem to get this urology shit right no matter how many tens of thousands are shoveled at them. Over all urologists are the oddest lot I have ever met.

Ali, it sounds to me like one of those medical facilities that specializes in reconstructive urological surgery might offer some hope. Have you contacted any of them? I Googled the term "reconstructive urology" and found several facilities all across the country. Might be worth a shot.

Alibaba, PFracture has quite a blunt way to make his point.
But I think he actually does have a point. A good one.
