What is the recovery timeline from day of surgery to first day of sex? Also, how long were pain pills needed after surgery. And on a scale of 1 to 10 what was the worst pain experienced? Finally, how effective were the pain meds?

I used painkillers for 1 week.
The day of surgery was 4/2/2016
Activation day was 18/3/2016
Pain in the glans while climaxing before the activation and after activation was getting less and less until it completely went away on 25/3/2013
28/3/2016: First sex after activation. Little pain at the base/climaxing way better than before the implant

Abdominal pain right after surgery: 5 (for a couple of days)
Pain in the glans while climaxing: started at 7 (3rd week masturbation) and went down to 0 last week

Days till sex - see below in my signature. Would probably have been sooner if I would have seen my wife any sooner, but this was the first time I saw her after the surgery.
This is highly depending on your doctor's protocol. Some say 'do it as soon as you want.' Pain and desire are only factors.
Some don't activate you till after 6+ weeks.
In my case, pain post op was horrible. I could not do shit for 2 weeks, only stay in bed.
After 3 weeks, pain was bad but not horrible, and after 4 weeks I was back to work etc again but with some restrictions in my mobility. Pain was however basically gone.
Painkillers helped, but during the first two weeks, even the Hydromorphone didn't completely kill the pain. It just made it bearable.

I did however have a much worse and longer lasting pain than average. I talked to a few other patients of my doc and they were no way close to my slow recovery.
However, I still think I was fairly quick to start pumping and having sex.
It was just that it felt like my scrotum would burst every time I stood up for the first 2 weeks.

Ignoring my first "painfully fucked up" implant. After my revision by Dr Perito, I had no prescription pain medication and had sex on the 17th day. My first implant was a totally different story. Doctor selection is extremely important.....

Activation: Jan 18
First sex: Feb 11
Off the opiates on Jan 8, switched to tylenon - pain and advil - swelling
Ice as much as possible. Pain maybe 5 for a day or so
Ache in penis on pumping for about a month

Surgery 01/13/16.
Successful attempts of enjoyable sex....none yet. Back to like the pills/pump/injection days where we just give up, she plays games on the computer and I keep working with this damn thing or find something else to do because the effort coupled with the result is so slow and disappointing that it kills the mood before you get started after so many attempts. Upsetting to think about it.

I was given the go ahead by my doc 15 days after surgery at my follow up. We had sex on day 17 (I believe).
