Well, to be more specific, if I pump it up to be just hard enough for sex, then I suppose it's useable, but still pretty weak and floppy, with a drooping angle. When I pump it up to be really rigid and stick straight out, it's still not even close to enjoyable. The tips hurt horribly, and I get a very intense ache all throughout the shaft. It's been this way for months so I'm not sure what's going on. Seeing Dr. Kramer again on May 3rd to have him take a look at things.

That's something to be worried about for sure. And what are your thoughts on what it could be? If I recall, I think you said in your thread you had a lot of fibrosis. Is there any logic to the idea of your fibrous tissue still being Stretching and causing pain? I also think you said your penis was narrower at the tip than the bottom..

I hope the doctor has a solution for that. Good luck dude!

Fibrosis, no and the only time I remember it being mentioned was during my surgery that on the lower right side there was some in the lower area where my implant was being placed. As far as narrow at the tip, my penis fills with blood in the head and and the shaft also still has some blood filling. The burning sensation is along the shaft when I attempt to pump above 16 total pumps. I usually pump 10 and wait 5 to 10 minutes and pump another 5 to 8 times and it feels like muscle burn. Not pain just the burn and upon release it is gone. From reading some other post here some have called it "SCARs" tearing. I really have no idea and will find out in May when I visit.

Almost all here tell us to be patient as it will take 6 to 12 months to be fully healed from the surgery. At this time I am very pleased with my erections and being able to have sex again. Though it is an implant, I love the feel of an erection which I hadn't for years.

Hope all gets better for you and have faith/patience till you can get the answers you need.

I wrote my doctor and as I suspected the burn is very normal and due to the penis stretching back to where it was at one time. Below is the information I received and want to share with all.

I'm thinking the "burn" is as the implant stretches your tissues to new lengths and girths, it has to have some growing pains as the tissue expander qualities of the device work. I think there's no gains unless you have a little pain the process, as this thing has to re-stretch some tissues that have atrophies and shrunk a bit with lack of use. I've found that people have measurable gains in length and girth for up to 12 months- which is pretty impressive, and a good motivator to fight through a little bit of burning to gain that extra size.

I am very welling to take the feeling of a muscle burn to recover over time what I have lost due to inactivity. As I can see the difference during the burn once that has gone and the size remains, I'll be very please with all aspects.

Thanks Dirtman for Kramer info. I'm 17 days post op and activated 5 x now, up to 6-7 pumps from 4 initially. Yes I get the "burn" from the tip down into part of the perineum (space between rectum and scrotum). I thought it's good I felt pain meaning I have sensation in those areas, so when I'm healed I hope those areas feel pleasure during stimulation.

What I did (after the first three to four months of pain and complete inactivity) until about about month seven - eight was to pump it up to maximum (for me that was 15 to 20 pumps) for one hour. Was fine for the first 30 minutes but hurt like crazy the last half hour. I had all that I could to hold out the hour. Then, for sex, I would pump it about 10 times. It was still hard as a rock, but it wasn't painful at all. Pumping it to maximum gets the tubes to push out the cavities in which they are placed in order to avoid scarring and allow the tubes to expand per design.

Now I no longer cycle (I'm in month nine) and I pump it 10 - 15 times for sex. It still hurts if I leave it for an hour but nothing like before. I've heard that after about twelve months it is no longer a problem. I would, however, cycle it to maximum when you're not having sex at the beginning even if you leave it that way for only 20 minutes.

I do leave for about an hour after pumping and sometimes fall asleep with a partial erection. I will take the burning for also an hour and so enjoy the erection I deal with the stretching and burning that comes with it. After so many years of no erection, this is minor to deal with. I am only 45 days after surgery so I have lots of time to stretch and heal. Intercourse was pain free as I also only pumped maybe 9 to 10 times and very hard. This am I will pump past that point and try to feel the burn as sometimes I do not right away as it comes on slowly.

Will see Dr. Kramer in two weeks and going to video him inflating and then past the normal point so I can learn to better inflate myself. I have found that one time I hold the pump this way or that and prefer to find the best way. Haven't seen a videos on Youtube that explains various ways to deal with the pumping and release. More info can only help.

Good luck and let me know how the pumping is coming. I am hoping others come forwards to more photos of their surgeries and after as I found the ones I saw really did help and that is why I have posted many and also placed on YouTube to show healing stages. Check under Murray Oeth as not ashamed for others to know I am repaired for fun.

I had always figured that the burning and pain was from the cylinders stretching my tissues out, but I had also thought it was a little extreme in my case. I doubt I've lasted an entire hour with this thing pumped up close to the max, even now. It seriously hurts, like can't stand up straight, sweat inducing pain. After ten pumps my implant is not very hard at all, more like a semi erection, but It also doesn't hurt at that stage of inflation. Right now I go to around 20-25 pumps to get it more rigid, though even there it's still pretty bendable. Once I get close to 30 pumps it gets very hard and sticks straight out, but at that point the pain is also unbearable for more than a minute or so.
