I was implanted with the Coloplast Titan in December 2007 after I developed ED Post-Prostatectomy in February 2004.
PDE5 Inhibitors (Viagra, etc.), Injections and VED did not work to my satisfaction.
My Implant restored both my sex life and the emotional bond with my wife (we were High School Sweethearts).
Honestly, I would do it again in a heart-beat!!!
Wishing you and your wife All the Best.

Re: Get over it
Go for it!! I got a AMS700LX installed Dec 2014. I was 64 at the time. I had dealt with ED for over 20yrs. The little fellow went thru the pills, pumps and injections. He looked like a whipped marshmallow. My wife and I still have a great sex life. We have been together since we were teenagers and knew how to push each others buttons even without intercourse. I started to do some research on implants right after my prostate surgery. It is bad enough not getting a little woody but when you can't squirt either it robs you of some of your manhood. I showed my wife some of the surgery videos and as you might expect they grossed her out. She said we were fine with the way things were, but if I wanted one I should go for it. I explained to her that it was for me more than her. She was cool with that. It has been over a year and a half and I am so glad I had it done. Don't get me wrong it was a rough 3 months after the surgery. I got some inflammation soon after the surgery and was sore for 3 months. Because of years of ED and prostate surgery I have lost at least 1 1/2 inches of length and 1/4 of the girth I started with. Add a fat pubic pad on top of that and we don't have much to work with. But I am so glad I got the surgery!! So go for it and don't look back!!

Re: Get over it
A testimonial.
After my Radical Prostatectomy, sexual intercourse came to an abrupt end. We tried it with various fixes but nothing worked. Two years later, I got an implant. My sex life has returned to normal and we are both happy.
Actually, my wife is happier.
1. No gook. Apparently it meant more to me than to her.
2. No more failed erections during sex. We can take as long as we want, and my wife says that my penis inside her is actually more comfortable since it is MUCH harder than it has ever been.
Even though you think that a physical cure cannot fix an emotional one, making the effort to restore yourself can actually restore your relationship.

Re: Get over it
Thanks for all the reply's. Right now I think that I am more interested in the emotional part. I never realized just how much ED was playing in the moods and feelings I've been going through. Yes I very much would love for the sex life to come back but all I can do about that is hope and get myself "fixed" or cured. The rest is up to what ever life brings. I think I could live with that by just knowing that I have done all I can.

Re: Get over it
I agree with Catman, do it for yourself! It will restore not only your manhood but your confidence and self image. There are many hungry and lonely women out there starved for love if your wife isn't interested. Why live a sexless life. Try Tinder, it's a dating site where women just want to meet and have sex or " hook up" as they say. My 3 cents!
Re: Get over it
I think a lot of dudes here would not agree with the idea of having other sex partners if your wife doesn't want it. Maybe I'm old (wait . . . aren't most of us in that state here on FT?) but I don't remember the marriage vows being: "For better, for richer, in health . . ."

Re: Get over it
I appreciate all the replys. And though it sounds good there is no way I could go out on my wife. But I have decided that if I can get it done it will be for me. If for no other reason, to make me feel better. Hopefully to remove some of this depression and feeling bad. If the wife decides to take advantage of it great. If not no different than now except I will be able to have an erection to take care of it myself. But I think what I was going for with this thread was, If you thought that you may still not have sex would you still go through with having the implant. Would you do it just in case you would have sex again? Would you do it for your own well being? Would you do it for your own mental wellness?
I have decided to further persue this purely for myself. We did have another conversation about this after I posted the thread and she basically said do what ever I needed to do. That there was an improvement over the last time we talked about it. So who knows, maybe there is still a little interest. So I got a Dr appointment Monday and if he says injections then we will try them but Im telling him that Im not real sure about them. The out of pocket cost is one big draw back. Insurance wont cover them but will cover implants if approved.

I did wonder if it surgery was worth it if we were not going to use it. My wife was dead set against the implant for years and of course we were not having intercourse after the injections failed. Not much of anything really. Like you, I knew I wasn't going to cheat on my wife but I finally decided I wanted it for me even though I knew I could have an orgasm without an erection. It took some talking and stronger statements of what I wanted but I did get agreement and went ahead. Happily, we are using the implant. It has been over a year now. Initially the old fears are still there for both of us, even though we know there is no chance of losing an erection and the disappointment that follows. But confidence returns.
My advice? Go for it for yourself, and you never know what the outcome will be. If at all possible skip the injections and go right to the implant if the doc will allow it. If you end up flying solo all the paraphenalia, time, pain and hassle of the injections aren't worth it. I used injections for years and years and NEVER injected to masturbate. But I do inflate now. It takes just a minute or two and you are good to go. Deflation takes about 10 seconds or so. (Once you have it all figured out.) Good luck with your decision!
Re: Get over it
Thanks watsup.
I had made a Dr appointment for today. We talked about my options and implant was one. At this point it is either injections, suppositories, or implant. I've tried the rest and they don't work. I told him that I have been looking into it and I thought that the implant was the most practical. He did talk about the others but you could tell that he was just not that keen on them. So we talk about the implant a great deal. Now this is the Dr who did my green laser PVP surgery and I was and am extremely happy. I am very comfortable with him but I didn't know about his implant experience although he is listed on the AMS web site. So we talked and I asked a few questions. He said that he does 30-50 a year. Said even though that doesn't sound like much it puts him in the top 2% that do implants. That was good to know that he does that many. And then he went on and answered many of my questions before I asked. I asked a few more questions and the answers were satisfying to me. Then i asked how long before he could do it and I got the impression that it could be done within the next few weeks to a month. He said the biggest hold up would probably be getting my cardiologist to OK it and get me off blood thinners for a week or so. Said that could take a couple of weeks. The AMS rep is just up the road in Cincinnati so that's not a problem.
So now I will talk again with my wife and see. I may call him and see what we have to do to get things started like getting the insurance ok. That should not be a problem. I'm on medicare and they cover and my supplemental covers what medicare doesn't. That should be fine.
So even though I have done this and hopeful started the process I would still like to hear from others about would yous still do it even though even if there was still a chance that you may not have sex?
