So apparently the surgery took about 6 hours to complete. Had to carve out scar tissue and also needed to use grafting material in order to get everything in. Staying an extra night in the hospital to make sure everything is ok and to keep me on IV antibiotics. Very little pain so far. Drain and catheter out tomorrow morning. Apparently I told everyone in the operating room to make sure dr. McCammon got both cylinders in, even if they had to sit on him.

Since this is such an old thread, I'm not sure if I'll get any response, but here goes.

Why was the surgery with Dr. Kramer unsuccessful? From all my reading on this board, he is one of the top guys in the nation and I have selected him to do my implant in October. Could you enlighten me why it wasn't successful with him??????

If you're going in October, don't worry- Kramer's beyond top notch. Nothing to worry about

Rglassava is a sort of a different case. He had extensive fibrosis, and the cylinders couldn't be inserted by the doctor just like that. Hence, he was redirected to a reconstructive urologist, which did what he described above.

Now.... Rglassava: i laughed so hard at what you said, in a good way i mean, because i pictured you saying that to the doctor and the situation happening itself. It is so, so nice to know the operation was a success. So happy for you. :)

Kramer is the best and if he suggested a different surgeon for something, it would be because what was wrong must have been something he did not specialize in and felt this would be best for you, I sincerely believe he always puts the welfare of his patients first. No ego here just what is best for you.

When you see doctor Kramer and his team, say hi as they are the best. Maybe you will be lucky and have a beautiful young female doctor observing the procedure. It is always nice to help out new doctors to the field and happy they are learning from the best. You will be beyond happy that you have gotten your implant as it makes a man feel WHOLE again.
Implanted March 2nd by Dr. Kramer with AMS/LGX. Had a problem lower left (scar tissue) and he placed a larger (thicker) implant as you can here on the YouTube video. Got all back, ED over 10 years before Implant.

Home and resting comfortably. Docs kept me in the hospital an extra night because the glans was swollen, bruised, and rather numb. They wanted to make sure proper blood flow was getting to it. More areas of pink today so they let me go. Spraying like a lawn sprinkler when I pee, good thing I brought that 'jar' home with me they gave me in the hospital. Time for a nap.

Good to hear, Rick. Yep, that urinal comes in handy the first few days.
