I had my surgery yesterday. Dr. Perito in Coral Gables, FL.
I haven't met with him yet this morning. I do have a couple questions for him. He told my wife yesterday while I was still out that he thought I'd be pleased, and that the curve I had is gone. Said I should be very sore.
But, looking at the little bugger this morning, it is crooked, and I had bleeding near the top.
.....
A doctor came in while I was writing this. He took out the blood drain, then pulled down the pump. Felt like he was squeezing my left nut.
I talked to him about my questions. He said it was crooked now from being pressed so right with the jock strap. He said the bleeding near the top was normal, that there was actually a hole on each side of the penis.
As far as pain goes, not much at all. Just sore, and need to be careful and slow when moving, and especially when getting up.

Re: First day...
By the way, I'm sure someone will ask... pubic, not scrotal surgery.

Re: First day...
Good Luck
Implanted March 2nd by Dr. Kramer with AMS/LGX. Had a problem lower left (scar tissue) and he placed a larger (thicker) implant as you can here on the YouTube video. Got all back, ED over 10 years before Implant.
Re: First day...
Congrats PC....looks like you became bionic one day ahead of me. Same here with soreness but not bad at all. Getting use to having a third testicle down there. Doc said to pull down on it every day to make sure it gets nested into that area. Can't wait to take a shower today. Keep us updated and good luck.

Re: First day...
Thought I'd update a bit.
My Dr location is almost 5 hours away from my home. I stayed locally there for 2 days, and saw Dr. on second day before heading home. I did not have a catheter installed to have to deal with.
I am not 9 days post op.
My swelling is pretty much gone, at least any that is visible. Penis looks pretty much normal. As reminder, I had pubic incision.
The small incision that had the blood drain installed was a bit slow to heal shut, but has finally done so.
Interestingly, the main discomfort that remains (slight...not bad at all) is what feels like what I would guess to be a rawness from shaving, particularly on the sack. I think the next thing to get through will be the regrowing of hair and it prickling on my legs, etc. I'm thinking maybe a jock strap may help insulate me from that.
I drive down to see the Dr. on Tuesday next week. That will be 13 days post-op. I will get answers to my questions then (none that require earlier contact). Interested in knowing for sure what he ended up putting in, etc.
I had been presuming he would do an initial inflate this visit, but from what I'm reading here, it may be a bit early for that. I expect the staples will be taken out Tuesday. I do not expect that to be a pleasant experience.
I've been a bit concerned about length concerns, although not quite as obsessed as some of the older posts I've read here. I definitely lost some length when my prostate was removed, and during the 5 years since with pregession of the ED. But in the end I have what I have. I felt a bit better once I saw some of the pics on this forum that pretty much seem to reflect the same length I have.
I'll update a bit more after the doctor visit.
@rglassva...would be interesting to hear how it's going with you. Well, I hope.
By the way...something they have me doing now is running hot water on the penis followed by 20 minutes of ice. Supposed to do that 3 times a day. Not sure what that accomplishes.

Re: First day...
Had a visit with the doctor yesterday. They deflated, and removed staples.
I was told I had not pulled the pump bulb down enough, and was told that this week I need to pull that down and 'practice' pressing the deflation points. He said to do that every time I urinate.
Was told to do hot shower twice a day followed by 10-20 minutes of ice.
Next week start pumping, maybe 2-3, then deflat, As I continue that, depending on how it goes, I could ultimately inflate completely. I asked what would indicate that it is fully inflated, he said the pump bulb would get hard.
He said I would likely be ready to go by week 4.
One thing that I had told him that I was concerned about: right above the penis in the incision area, it felt pretty solid, and sort of raised. I assumed that the reservoir was there. I definitely felt pressure there when I bend over or stoop. He said no, that the resevoir is more up in my chest cavity. The hardness and raised feeling was just the body healing and it would go away.
One thing that I am having problems with, is my testicles, since removal of the prostate, have been less solid. The left one in particular, nears feeling jelly like. My sack seems to me like it is small, and definitely crowded. When the doctors pulled down the pump right before discharge from the hospital, and yesterday when the doctor deflated, it felt like he was squeezing my nut. He was sure he wasn't.
I think that maybe the epididymis may be running over that part of the pump. When I got to 'practice' the deflate, I find I have to try to maneuver the pump in order to squeeze it w/o pain. Not easy to do, especially with the crowding.
