Trying VED therapy before surgery. Not sure if I'm doing it properly.

Trying VED therapy before surgery. Not sure if I'm doing it properly.

Postby stiffupperlip » Wed Aug 31, 2016 3:47 pm

I have surgery scheduled with Dr. Kramer on 10/18. I started last week using a pump for VED therapy but I’m having some issues. Up until this point I had never used used a pump.

According to the study by Dr. Dineen you should pump the penis up until you feel slight burning sensation and then hold it for at least 10 minutes. The problem is that I can’t maintain the negative pressure for 10 minutes. After a minute or two the pressure slips and the blood starts to flow out of the penis and I have to then pump it a few more times. Plus it gets really tight around the base. Am I pumping enough to start out with?

Here’s what the study says.

To ensure a proper seal between the skin and the cylinder, the patient is instructed to shave around the base of the penis and to apply liberal amounts of lubricant on the penis and in the base of the vacuum cylinder. No bands or constriction rings are used. Patients are instructed to pause 3 - 5 seconds between pumps to achieve maximum benefit. The vacuum level is increased until the patient feels a slight burning sensation in the penis. The negative pressure is maintained for at least 10 minutes.

Any suggestions from those that have done the therapy.

I think that you are putting too much pressure at the onset of the therapy and you can damage yourself. Pump it up to the point where there is no pain and begin with 1 or 2 minutes at first. release and wait and pump it up again. There are protocols you can find on line or on the peyronies forum which is excellent.

Good luck to you and hope you have fun pumping. It shouldn't hurt, but feel good!!!

I used this one with bands to keep penis hard for as long as 30 minutes, never any longer. You can even have intercourse with this. Pump up penis, slide band down around base of penis and use if you want of just time. No more then 30 minutes.

Pump and enjoy seeing a hard penis again and this is similar to what you will see after all the healing has taken place.
Implanted March 2nd by Dr. Kramer with AMS/LGX. Had a problem lower left (scar tissue) and he placed a larger (thicker) implant as you can here on the YouTube video. Got all back, ED over 10 years before Implant.
