If you want to see the measuring process, watch a few of Dr Kramer's videos.

I have found a few journal articles about measuring (but the terminology they use confounds understanding). I have not been able to find Dr Kramer's video explaining the measuring process.

Any help? Link or the search phrase that will narrow the options?

Thanks

I did find this interesting article about pre0op vacuum preparation.

You have to have confidence in the whole team is my opinion.

Where are you located? Can you get to Baltimore for your implant?

Kramer has the reputation of being top notch in his field and he does a high volume per year.

Thanks for your perspective. I feel the same way about confidence in the entire team and the process. But my options through the Veterans Administration are limited to Alaska Urology clinic and Anchorage Urological Institute, which means only one of two doctors.

Where I am in Anchorage Alaska is a long way from Baltimore. Going to Seattle might be adoption but I have no one there to put me up. I have relatives in Stockton California, worth waiting for the surgery 'til later.

I know Baltimore is a long way to go for you and I'm sure your insurance situation affects your decision a great deal. I have a long way to go to Baltimore, but fortunately my insurance has Dr. Kramer "in network" and he is used to having out-of-towners come for surgery all the time. They even have preferred hotels and shuttle service to the doctor's office and surgery center.

Best of luck in finding a qualified, high volume surgeon.

AMS Ultrex and AMS 700 LGX compared

Interesting reading, especially the last 3 parapraphs which summarize the conclusions.

See also this article. A bit dated perhaps, but illuminating.
