We didn't compare pictures, but since this is anonymous, why lie about? Although I'm sure there are some exaggerations with some guys. Besides, I think you can find a lot of examples here on the forum of guys with the same size implants but different penis lengths. I know I've seen many examples here myself, and have read posts by other guys who have 22 cm cylinders (or even smaller) and larger penises than I have.

As has been explained here many, many times, and as Lost Sheep has just pointed out, you cannot gain length by implanting oversized cylinders. The result of doing so would be pain and/or injury. You can accommodate only the length that you natural size will allow. An implant will make your penis work again, but it will not make it longer than what you were born with.

Well, I agree what you say makes sense, and probably it is true in +99% of all cases.
However, I am that rare exception in that case.
I do measure my dick to >17 cm now, 17.4 to 17.7 over a few measurements the past few weeks.
Before surgery, my length was to some degree depending on my erection quality. On a bad day it did not reach its maximum size at all, and on the best possible day it was 16.5 cm, perhaps a couple of mm more. But never, ever over 17 cm.
These are all bone pressed measurements, with a plastic ruler pressed to the pubic bone just over my penis, measuring along the penis to the tip of the glans.

I do agree it sounds weird that the penis should have grown longer. Trying to understand how this is possible, a few explanations could be:

* My ED never allowed me to have a full erection before. Even what I called my best day was perhaps still not a 100% full erection. Find that hard to believe though, since it sure felt that way. On those few 'best days'.

* Something to do with my body fat level since I measure bone pressed. However, the fact is that I am leaner now than ever before during my last ten years when I always was maximum 16.5 cm. So this should rather work the other way, making me smaller now compared to then.

* The sclerotherapy made my glans fuller and longer. But I did the sclerotherapy 5 months before the implant, and even during those 5 months between sclero and implant, I never measured >17 cm on a 'best day'.

* That I subconsciously so much want my dick to be longer that I fake my own measurements and lie to myself. If this was true, I would per definition now know it was the case (since it would be subconsciously), which means I guess I can not 100% say this is not the case. I can however say that I never really cared about size. Especially not 1 cm plus or minus, since that doesn't really change anything. I guess I would have an issue with being 10 or 17 cm, but 16 or 17 is totally irrelevant in my opinion. So I doubt this is the reason for my longer dick. And I do really put an effort in measuring accurately.

Since I would hate to give someone thinking of doing an implant the wrong expectations, I must point out again that what you say dg_moore is almost always true, and the best outcome and hence the most optimistic expectations should be to keep length, and maybe even be prepared to accept a small decrease.

And if someone has a good theory on my case - shoot. I would love to hear.

EDIT: It is also worth pointing out that my length was smaller immediately post-op. Initially, at my first inflations, I was <16 cm. In retrospect, I think this was simply because at that time I couldn't get in enough pumps to maximize the size potential of my implant.
However, in February (2 months post op) I was up at pre-op length, and from then on my size has just kept increasing slowly month by month.
At the same time, the maximum number of pumps I have been able to get in have also increased month by month.
