Well I did it! Today
Re: Well I did it! Today
day3: Actually 2.5 but anyhow. The swelling is down some. Still there but it is noticeably less. Still lots of bruising but that's to be expected. The pain, though not terrible is still there but so far regular Tylenol has been enough. Been using ice and last night and this morning started using a heating pad. That actually felt pretty good. Walking round hasn't been much of an issue. Getting up from a chair or bed is a little tricky and need to be careful but that too isn't bad. The worst of the pain is from the placement of the reservoir. The balls and penis aren't bad at all. Still the tips don't go all the way up into the gland which my cause some concern later but for now I will let that go. It could be from the swelling and not being pumped up much. Like I said after surgery I could fell the tips almost mid gland so I have to think that will work out OK. This morning is the first time that I can say that I really do fell the pump. I thought that I could fell it yesterday but wasn't sure. Today I am. It's low and right of center. Can't really tell if its front or back but its down enough. That's good. One thing that I wished that I had done was to get a good support. The UA boxer-briefs are OK and hold everything nicely so far but doesn't really give the scrotal support that is needed. With the swelling the scrotum get heavy and pulls down on the tubes some and pulls at the reservoir which causes some pain and discomfort. But other than that I think all is going about as expected.

Re: Well I did it! Today
A couple of things....
First, the tips of the implants. If you felt the tips mid-glans at 50% inflation, you're fine. The glans is being supported while inflated, and that is the desired result. If you are deflated, it is very likely that the tips can retract below the glans. I can feel the tips of my implant behind the glans when fully deflated as well. However, when pumped up to the max.....and hard as I can pump, it feels like the tips are pressing against the glans to the point I can cause discomfort, even at 18 months. So it sounds to me like your implant is well sized, and nothing to worry about.
Secondly, scrotal support. I had the same problem. I felt better with the scrotum supported, but couldn't stand anything against my penis early on. It felt best just being "free" and unrestricted. So here's what I did. I took a jock strap, and about mid-pouch, cut a slit in it so the penis would poke out of the hole, but still having the rest of the support for the scrotum. Worked very well for me, give it a try.
Best of luck to you....sounds like you are doing great!

Re: Well I did it! Today
Day 5 AI (after implant) OK the pain is still there. It never has been terrible but there. I would say maybe 4-6. Mostly 4. Using mainly Tylenol. I've taken a stronger med a couple of times but not many. More bruising the last couple of days. Swelling is way down. Balls about half of what they were. Penis cant really tell, doesnt look like much. A lot at the pubic pad above the dick. Still really sore where he incerted the resivior. Pobably the biggest issue is the itching/razor burn in the scrotum. Stll using ice. Sleeping has been OK. Last night slept nude and felt fine. Actally better than the prior night. So thngs are moving along nicely. Also been able to start pulling or pushng the pump down every so often. So I guess I'm pleased so far.
When i went to see my Dr. the day after surgery he asked did i hate him yet. Said nope no yet. He said good an laughed abou it. I think he did a really good job. Now that may change next month or week but for now I'm happy my choice. I know it doesn't mean anything but today i finally measured. Looks like 4" as is. Not too bad. Was expecting less. So maybe that's a good sign. But there again way too early to be thinking about that. I know that it has only been 5 day but I can say for sure I'm glad I did it. I feel good about my decision.
I've gone into this with ED for about 10 yrs now. And no real sex during all of that time. Alot of masterbating, didn't have to worry about performing or anything. But even with that things just kept getting worse. During this time my wife has lost her interest in sex. So I've gone into this knowing that there was a better than 90% chance I won't use it. Other than self pleasure. And I accepted that. But I now know, unless something really goes wrong, that I can have sex if the opportunity comes and my wife wants to again. I know that I can walk around and see an erection when ever I want. It was always nice to see a good erection in the morning or at night. And thats something I really missed. The knowledge that I'm not broke anymore is great. And thats now, not ever having it pumped up. Yes i wish I could have done this 10 years ago maybe things would have been different but I didn't. So as stupid as it sounds I go an implant. I'm going through all the pain and hassles for basically nothing but my own feelings but I think it is worth all of it.
So that pretty much it for now.

Re: Well I did it! Today
Well then, good for you! If it makes you feel better, then it is worth it. Even if you only get to use it solo, that's a legitimate experience of sexual pleasure, which is a very healthy part of life. As one who uses injections, I can relate to that great feeling of just KNOWING that I can pretty much get an erection "on demand" any time I want to, and also any time my wife wants me to. Sometimes it works better than others in terms of how good the sex is, solo or with wife, but that's OK it is pretty much always like that, so it's natural. The less I think about whether I will be able to reach orgasm (an issue at times) the better the chances that I will. As for your married sex life, isn't there a way to get your wife's interest back now that you can provide a reliable erection? No more of that agita ,worry, and bad feelings like when the pills became unreliable? I enjoy "showing off" my erections, both the ones that develop after I inject and those that remain for up to a couple of hours after sex. such a relief to be able to play around like that! So I say go for it. You may be able to get your wife back on track, but even if you don't, think how nice it will be to jhave the complete "erectile confidence" the implant will give you. I wish you well.
Re: Well I did it! Today
congratulations!! glad the recovery is going well.
FWIW, after 20 years of ED and having to inject and that became hit or miss, my wife and later on my girlfriend seemed to lose interest in sex. A lot of it had to do with age , seem like women over 50 with all the hormones issues have some loss in sex drive. Maybe now you can try a new approach and get her interested again, especially if she knows its gonna work and be great for both of you. Now also a good time to get her involved with a DR. that specializes in womens hormone replacement. Maybe you have already looked into this and i missed it. But worth a discussion at least!

ED for 20 years. Used injections successfully until 2015. Injections no longer work. Some scarring from injections. Viagra etc never worked. PCa in 2009, treated with radiation. So far so good but between injections and radiation penis lost about 1 inch.
Re: Well I did it! Today
The new implant really does increase a partners interest in sex. Intercourse has been painful the last few years, but my erections are now so ridiculously hard that my wife says that sex has become good again. We have done more with the implant than in the many years prior to my PC.

Day 7 AI: First of all I want to thank everyone for the reply's and words of encouragement. The idea of the modified underwear for support sounded good. So far been OK but will keep it in mind. As far as my wife and sex goes, I haven't and wont give up hope.
OK 1 week after implant and things are doing well. Pain still there but Tylenol has taken care of it for the most part. Swelling is way down. Bruising is slowly starting to fade away though still plenty there. Still using ice and heating pad, seems to working good. Everything seems to be going as it should. Been trying to keep pushing the pump down a little at a time or at least keep it down. I think it's about where it should be. I have been able to make out the pump for a few days but today I think I was able to get a better idea of where things are. I really think I found the release button. Been pushing some just to get a feel for it. Same with the pump bulb. Not enough to do anything but just to get an idea where and how.I also think that there is a little auto fill going on too. If I'm laying down some times it gets very soft and limp. But standing it get a little firm. Now hard just firmer. And one other thing, I think I'm getting some blood to the gland. Thought I would check so looked up some sites on the web and sure felt like something was going on. Maybe not full engorgement but some anyway. So that's good.
So that's about it for now. Just plugging along. I've been very active after day 2 and doesn't seem to be any issues with it. Doc said I could get back to my walking after about 3 days. Have been doing that. Not fast but still getting some in. I'm pleased with the way things are going so far

Sounds like you're doing fine. Thanks for the updates. I hope everything continues on a good path for you. Is the auto fill normal? Just curious how fluid gets past the pump.
Best of luck,

Beachbum,
That "auto-fill" you're talking about is completely normal. The cylinders will NEVER get completely empty. That's because there's a good amount of them buried inside you where you cannot reach. So what is happening is the fluid is flowing to the base of the cylinders when you lay down, and tends to even out in the outer part of the cylinders when you stand up. Happens to all of us, to a degree. No worries!
Sounds like you are doing really great!!!!
