I will not use an injector, as I want to feel where the injection is precisely going. I also pull back on the syringe to see if blood is in the trimix just before I push it "home". As, if you see blood in your syringe, you're in the corpus cavernosa! Bingo!
I experience almost no pain with a 29 gauge 1/2" syringe anyway.
You simply HAVE to try an Auto Injector. ZERO PAIN! NO fear!

My doc started me on this with my test injection, he had me adjust the depth to 5/16" using 1/2" 28ga. needles it hasn't failed me yet! Added bonus if you've had a few drinks it sure makes it a lot easier.

There are 2 models of the Owen Mumford Autoject® Injection Aid Device - white and blue. I prefer the white (Aj1310) one with the longer tip because it is much more precise. Look at the bottom of both and with syringe installed, the longer adapter has a guide that limits movement. I found this out today. With my needles. I use the Sure Comfort U100 syringes, you can see why by looking at both adapters with a needle. All the way in my ½ inch needles are set for 5/16 penetration have with very little wiggle out the end. This means the needle will be much more accurate.

Re: You simply HAVE to try an Auto Injector. ZERO PAIN! NO fear!
I would like to know if any of you guys have had or are having this experience with auto-injectors. I have been injecting Trimix on and off for about 4 years now. Dose is anywhere between 14-16units..I have been using the original auto-injector I received at the doctor's office since the beginning. Recently I have noticed the auto-injector is just not hitting the sweet spot all the time..never really had a problem until recently. A few times it looked as though the needle did not fully penetrate the tunica..I am wondering if the spring loaded auto-injector may be weakening..just enough so the needle doesn't always go straight in to the required depth. I mean the injector is like any other mechanical device subject to weakening and possible failure. Anybody else have this experience or care to comment? Thanks it would be appreciated.

::: NOV 3. 2017 UPDATE :::
So for whatever reason in my brain, using this device became quite cumbersome.
I dunno what happened. I developed SEVERE serious straight up FEAR of pushing the button to deploy the needle.
Why? I have NO IDEA. It has never ever once hurt at all.
Not one bit.
So--here was my solution:
I put the syringe in the device...pushed the button BEFORE putting it near my penis. Then I simply injected it MYSELF.
One quick jab--as painless as using the device.
It was the sound of the device that gave me this mental block.
Its hard to explain--
I would sit there for sometimes a HALF HOUR trying to pyshe myself up to push the button.
Now--the sound still happens--but the needle isnt anywhere near my penis.
The nest way I can describe my new method is this:
I'm self injecting with the syringe in a ' holder'.
Does that make sense?

I think if you are able to inject, achieve an erection and overcome your anxiety, it certainly makes sense to me.

I don't have to deal with that fear of the syringe coming out of the autoject at a million miles an hour right into my penis.
Not that it hurt when it did..but I built of an irrational fear of pushing the button.
I prob could not use the auto inject AT ALL and just inject it--because that's really what I'm doing anyway.
One added benefit of using it is that its much bigger than the syringe, so it fits better in my massive hands.

No need to explain but yeah, that makes sense.
