Todays my day of implant surgery, wanted to start a post here, so i can document the progress, to me psychology, it feels like Christmas Eve, im hoping the Rep will come visit me prior to the operation, so i can ask a few questions, and let him know im concerned about
losing any length, (im sure ill lose a little from scaring but not much), i'm suppose to report to hospital at 12 noon, and surgery begins
at 2pm, with a stay over, until tomorrow, just to watch me i guess.. i was told the 23 hour stay, still keeps it as an outpatient statis,
and allows the doctor to follow up, without me returning the next day.. so we will see.. ill post here tommorrow evening after i am back home, and let you all know my experience, i'm pretty good on annestiasia, its the comming off it.. that doesnt agree with me.. but being ill be in a hospital bed, i should be able to just sleep it off...
thanks for listening..

David,
A few tips ... start on stool softeners as soon as you get home, otherwise you'll be bound up for days. Not a good time for straining.
Use the Hospital ice bag if they give you one ... otherwise frozen vegs work good. Consider a inflatable donut cushion ... great for traveling, sporting events, etc. (keeps your new hardware up just right)
Good luck ... and Welcome to the Brotherhood ...

Re: Day of Implant Surgery AMS
I bought a new ice bag for the trip at Walgreens. Having a tendency to constipation, stool softener doesn't work on me. I regularly take Miralax. When I went in for surgery, I added Milk of Magnesia. I had no problem. Woke up at 2 am and had to go! But, I didn't have to strain.
62 years old. ED for years. High BP and meds have done me in. AMS 700 CX /3.0 cm RTE Implanted by Andrew Kramer on 10/12/16. Involved revision to relocate tubes and pump performed 12/29/16 by Dr. Knoll of Nashville, TN.
