Which cylinders blow out more often?

All,
I have the AMS LGX. My health insurance won't pay for it, so the expense is a major issue for me (not yet old enough for Medicare, by the way). By the way, it failed where the saline tube goes into the left cylinder. From the beginning I was suspect of the "it should last 10 years minimum" marketing hype because the devices had only just recently come onto the market when I had it implanted just over 5 years ago (and therefore there was no reference baseline).... And please note the only thing that will be covered (hopefully) during my replacement is the defective part of the device itself (none of the other costs associated therewith)... Suddenly wishing I had chosen the Coloplast implant instead... Their cylinders have thicker walls and should, theoretically, last longer before failure....

Just remember that all mechanical devices break, regardless of what the surgeons or manufacturers say....

This is a photo of a defective cylinder which I found online. My cylinder defect isn't this bad yet, fortunately, and is limited (so far) to the area where the saline tube connects to my left cylinder. It causes a bulge on the left side of my penis (where the penis comes out of my groin). But so far it is still usable, touch wood (no pun intended).

Just the device is replaced. You have to pay for everything else.

I have the AMS LGX by the way. Nobody knew how long they would last when mine was put in just over 5 years ago (because they had just come on the market 1-2 years earlier.). But both the company and the surgeon told me it should last at least 10 years..
