Considering implant

Postby Sirsarcastic » Wed Nov 09, 2016 1:19 pm

Long story short I just turned 22 and have peyriones disease. I have a few questions about implants if those of you who have one can enlighten me I'd greatly appreciate it.

I understand the sensation and orgasm is as before, my question is is there the feeling of arousal, the feeing of blood filling up the penis (possibly the spongiosum) that typically happen before an erectin? I'm sure this varies from case to case but also do some of you still have nocturnal erections? Possibly even a semi before the weight of the mechanism prevents it.

An implant removes forever the possibility of having a normal erection and therefore morning wood, etc. But the implants get really hard!

I think that for the most part no you wont. I have heard of one or two that said they did but I find it rather difficult to believe that. But you can/may get arousal in the gland. I feel in some mornings that I have some arousal, as in morning woody, but all it is is a slight engorgement of the gland. Now the penis does seem to feel larger but no way near any kid of erection or even the beginning of one. And it all could be, and most likely is, all in my head.

Sirsarcastic,
I wouldn't wait too long making a decision ... if you already have peyriones, you don't want it to progress too far. Try to find a high volume surgeon that deals with peyriones ... you will have a much better outcome.

As for feeling like you are getting an erection ... not really ... sometimes you get a slight feeling (slight swelling in the glans). Nocturnal
erections will be a thing of the past ...

You should go to YouTube and watch several videos on "penile implant surgery" ...

I would tend to have a slightly other opinion on this than the other guys posting here.
I definitely get that feeling. I even get some movement in my penis when I get aroused. Of course it is not an erection, but I can feel it move and swell up. Definitely the glans, but also the shaft gets thicker. Again, no erection though.
I also wake up in the mornings with what could be described as morning wood, but not including a stiff shaft. But a very full and hard glans, and a swollen thicker shaft.

But again, this is very individual and all depending on your remaining blood flow capacity. If there is no blood flow capacity left, then the glans will never get full and hard. Not spontaneously and not when pumping up the implant either. In my case my glans still works like before. It swells up when I get turned on. No matter whether I pump the implant or not.

Thanks so much for the replies. So far it's so difficult to predict this disease it's a mean one. I can still manage erections at the moment with more effort than before. That's really interesting, if there are any others who can chime in to grasp the ratio of those who can to can't that would help. Best of luck all!

I understand the sensation and orgasm is as before,
. I would disagree with this statement. I was implanted in Oct ,2015 and have had issues with loss of sensation ever since. I don't think that there are any guarantees with this surgery. Time and the correct medicines may help you, I think it may be helping me but it is definitely not the same as before. My suggestion is to go to a "high volume" successful implant Dr., be realistic in your expectations. I was not prepared for diminished sensation so it was tough for me to cope. Go to the best that you can afford and discuss (interview) the procedure well.
Good Luck

There is strong evidence that erectile function can remain after an implant. Do a search in the "implants" section on the word "preservation" for a few posts mentioning it. A hslf dozen, most of which are mine, but do reference reputable medical journal studies.

Having said that, you can expect that said preservation of erectile function will be significantly compromised. The erectile tissue is routinely damaged during the implant operation. Much will depend on the willingness of your surgeon to try and, of course, the surgeon's skill and a bit of luck.

But you are young and othwise healthy, so your prospects are probably better than most.

Look up dr. kramer as I had him do mine and I still have blood flow where head and shaft are enlarged some every morning. It is firm enough to have a morning hand job and a great way to start the day.
Implanted March 2nd by Dr. Kramer with AMS/LGX. Had a problem lower left (scar tissue) and he placed a larger (thicker) implant as you can here on the YouTube video. Got all back, ED over 10 years before Implant.
