No worries - there's nothing to apologize for. During my long struggle with ED we tried everything possible, including the VED. We both hated it, and it went in the trash very quickly. Dr. Kramer never mentioned pre-surgery VED, and it never occurred to me to bring it up or use one. My results were excellent (even if completely futile).

To Vacuum or not to Vacuum?

Postby Lost Sheep » Sat Nov 12, 2016 10:26 pm

Everyone is different. Rates of atrophy, how long it has been since the patient has had erections, how quickly that person's tissues respond to pre-op vacuum therapy and how much vacuum therapy was done (1x per day for 5 minutes or 2x per day for 15 minute, etc).

The point I have settled on for my own pre-op choice is that there is no known downside to expanding the penile tissues by vacuum therapy (without constriction band) and multiple potential benefits.

Whether those benefits accrue to me or not is unknown and likely unknowable. What is known is that there will be no second chance to do my first implant right. Like the baby bats in Carlsbad Caverns, N.M. They have about 70 to 90 feet to learn to fly. If they don't learn before they land on the cave floor, they never will.

I pumped 2 times per day for 2 years then burned out a quit for a while. Also had off times for surgeries. Every time of resumption, I noticed I had a smaller penis than before. I have marks on my cylinder where I have graded my stopping points for 16 years. Each resumption would have a longer workout period to get to the mark I had before. Eventually, with several stoppages, it was clear length lost would never be regained. My advice, get an implant as soon as you know you have ED issues. Use the pill and pump together religiously till you get your implant. The longer you wait, the crappier the outcome may be. It took 7 years post permanent ED to get my implant. It should have been put in the same day as the prostatectomy for better results.

joe456, doe it try to suck the end of your penis into the hole in the end of the tube? That is why I got a bigger on in the 1990's.
