All the doctors who told me this say the infection risk is no higher scrotal with proper care and prep. Every doc that has seen mine and has my health history says I should never have had pubic.

I saw so many of Dr. Kramer's videos I was hardly aware of infra public although later I did learn about it. At the time of my surgery, he said he hadn't had an infection in 4 years. I know they really shaved me and treated the skin all around the surgical site. They also injected some kind of antibiotics periodically as they operated. Of course, I was careful to keep the antibacterial ointment on for a couple days.

Dr. Eid has a great reputation, but I don't remember what approach he uses. He talks about his "no touch" technique but I have no clue what that is. Don't see how it is possible.

His no touch technique in simple terms uses various types of drapes to cover skin changed at intervals and changes of gloves at intervals to prevent any skin contact that might transmit bacteria or transmission from one stage of surgery to the next. Most good doctors take the time to properly prep and take precautions. I remember the protocol calls for something like 15 minutes of antibacterial scrub and one doctor said 3-4 minutes is enough, the protocol is nuts, but I notice the doctors with the lowest infection rate take the time. Eid shows he does on his webcast. d

I have never met anyone else who has had vocal cord paralysis and implants. Yes, they can also carve silicone blocks to fit for the implants. Some doctors do. Montgomery implants come in a kit with about 20 sizes. They try, swap and fit and as you know, you speak during surgery so they can hear and observe the fit. I can no-longer shout, or sing either. Interesting. Can't whistle any more either. Used to entertain my wife whistling songs. She says she misses it. Hope you are doing well. Cheers bud.

I didn't have vocal cord paralysis. I had vocal cord "bowing." The cords were bowed in the middle and would not touch so I could not phonate. My implants push the cords back together to allow them to make sound. Prior to surgery I could only talk in a very rough whisper. The weird part is that I lost my voice almost overnight.

Mine were bowed from paralysis. Nerves came out with a tumor. Makes it tough doesn't it? It was frustrating writing notes to communicate for me and my wife. We made do with home made sign language often. Having laryngeal implants is one reason I felt an implant elsewhere would be no issue from a body rejecting or infection standpoint.

Long wait in court today. Had time to think about things to kill time and wondered if I were to get a revision, how many of the issues resolved and how many issues not resolved would I be willing to accept to be satisfied? How do you scale them? Which is highest priority? Which are easiest to resolve? Are the easier ones on the same list as highest priority? Would a straight dick and nice glans offset no feeling? I think not. If I had great sensitivity again would I be satisfied with a skinny bent dick and a flimsy glans? Many scenerios. Which doctor thought he could address which issue? Would it be worth doctor A addressing issues 1, 3, 6, and 7 and doctor B trying to address the others? I quit listing and ranking them and moved on to people watching. Reading FT and other forums, it is clear there is no exact science to it as outcomes are HIGHLY variable as well as acceptance levels.

I agree. When my wife initially gave me sort of a funny look about getting a penile implant I told here I've had surgeons use a drill to drill holes in my neck for implants, so surely I can do this. Besides, at 61 years old, giving up sex is not an option. I might as well be dead!

Man, I wish you the best in this journey. Perhaps consulting with 2-3 of the finest doctors in revision would help.

Many thanks to everyone for their well wishes. At this point I do not know what I am going to do. The whole thing is quite frustrating, was very time consuming to get the first implant. Somehow I feel content to move on to other projects rather than fight it but I still cannot seem to be satisfied with this wreck in my pants. I demand my work within exacting tolerances and try to give my customers better than they expected. The level of mediocrity both by the doctors and by some of the patients shocks me. If all patients demanded better, maybe the doctors would up their game and there would be fewer revisions for high pumps, shorter dicks, floppy glans and the long list of other issues. Be well boys. Demand the best. I still think I should have yanked the I.V. and left when Milam told me he was going to make my dick shorter and "and we are not going to discuss it". When you give in to a don't give a damn mentality, then don't give a damn results is what you get.
