Stricck and Whatsup,

Did you know there's a feature on FrankTalk where you can add a member to your "foe" list? This way it will not display their comments to you. You can always click on their message and it will expand that content if you wanted to see it, but otherwise all it shows it that they made a comment, not the actual comment itself. I have one on my foe list because he acted like an asshat. I requested to have some of his remarks removed and they took them off.

I am scheduled for a revision in the new year. I had my implant about 1 1/2 years ago and my reservoir is also herniated, or dropped out of place. It sits right up against the the right side of my penis and and into my pubic mound and forms a large bulge which interferes with sex. The revision procedure is very much like an hernia repair, which is what it really is. The reservoir will be placed either back in the space of Retzius or ectopically behind the abdominal muscles. I don't believe it is a 5 minute job though. Maybe to actually put it back in place and stitch the opening once the surgeon has opened the area up might take 5 minutes. I will spend one night in the hospital with antibiotic drips and some pain meds. It will be sort of like an infra pubic operation really only just dealing with the reservoir. Much simpler than the whole implant though.

The implant does work and the bulge does soften and reduce in size a little as the saline leaves the reservoir, but still, it needs to be fixed and the surgeon agrees.

Hmmm... so my doctor placed the larger reservior in me say I need it to get a rigid the smaller won't do... he said and I am under the impression it would be relatively simple and I would be at work Tuesday. What you say makes sense and gives me pause... I'll keep you posted!

Best of luck with your revision

Thanks for the info jonbaldbg. I didn't know there was a "foe list". It was a simple misunderstanding and joe456 has sent along a nice apology. I will not be adding him, or anyone else for that matter, to a "foe list". I can see where if you were being bullied on line a foe list is a good idea, but this is not one of those times. Appreciate the info though.

Thanks for the nice apology joe456. We are good! I don't know where you are in your battle with ED, but I wish you all the best.

My doc also said herniation is a problem so he puts in some mesh to prevent that from happening. He also said that placing the reservoir is the most dangerous part of the operation and infrapubic reduces the risk.

I have infrapubic... I am going to encourage mesh Monday during prep! He says he's never placed the larger reservoir in any previous patient... I was his first!!! He says I need the larger reservoir to get the full effect or max ridgity...

Interesting. I asked my doc if he was going to use mesh and he said absolutely not. I think the problem with mesh is that tissue grows into the mesh making it much more difficult to remove if needed. If for some reason you need to have the implant explanted mesh be a problem. Ask your doc about it. My doc is going to use sutures to close the hole.
