Rahod1 no way to tell how old it may have been from the start, I was so frustrated that when I got up this morning I got the last 25 unit syringe out of the frig and shot it down the drain! I just felt like it wasn't any good after being in the frig since Sept 26! So the new vial is a couple weeks old now and in the frig, I'll try but do you think I need to retry the 20 units again or go up to the 25? Hey also on the vial it says refrigerate but I'm going to go over to the Pharmacy and ask about freezing. Thanks again for you help and advice!

Well rahod I just talked to the pharmacy the compounding lady said just put it in the frig, honest truth she wasn't much help. this makes 2 strikes for this pharmacy...The 10cc vial I got from them is 15 day old and in the frig I'm going to make a couple shots up put them in the frig and then freeze the vial.

My Compounder told me that Trimix is good for 12 months or longer kept frozen. When I need a dose, I thaw it draw it and refreeze. I've not had any issues losing potency.
Use Super Quadmix due to severe Venous leak.Have a GREAT DAY!

gg,

The only thing to watch out for (and I mean really examine closely ) is after you freeze and thaw Trimix (or BiMix) ( especially mix with 30mg Pap per ml) is to look for any crystallization that might occur. The thing is, that it is difficult to keep that much Papaverine dissolved in 1 ml solution and so they even have to make the solution a little on the acidic PH side. I have seen a BIG hunk of crystal come out of plain Bi-Mix when it was refrigerated very cold.

Not many guys have seen it crystallize out, but also you just might not notice unless you shake it a little and look very close to see either a big crystal or just 'snow' swirling in the vial. You might even think the snow is just air bubbles.

Of course if PAP does come out of solution you all of a sudden have very weak mix and might get inexplicable failures with shots.

Also to get the crystals to redissolve is also tough and you have to heat up the vial with really hot water .. then shake and dissolve and keep doing until it all goes back into solution.

Only an issue I think with 30mg/ml Pap probably .. but I have seen it and it should be checked for. ( I suppose it might even happen if you store or freeze individual filled syringes but infinitely harder to see).

I have been thawing and refreezing for a long time. I have gone through 15 thaw/refreeze cycles with no degradation at all...NONE!
I don't store frozen in syringes either. I only store in the vial. I have never had issues with *crystals* after thawing. I highly recommend this method to preserve potency.

I wouldn't bother with storing filled syringes in frig. Just take out the vial prior to use and thaw. Having said that, I will prepare a syringe several hrs before use and store in frig.

As i mentioned in a previous post, I was started at 25 units and moved up by 10 units util I hit the jack pot at 45 units and subsequently was able to reduce the dose to 15 units.

I think you need to move up by 10 units on subsequent injections.

I buy my Trimix from Avella Speciality Pharmacy in Phoenix which charges me $80 for 10 ml (1000 units). It comes in five 2 ml frozen vials. I put one in the fridge for current usage and the remaining four in the freezer. Never had an issue vials remaining in the fridge for up to a month.

I use 29 g 1/2" needles. Some of my 30 g needles have bent.
