The jock that I woke up in after the surgery is just fine and according to the post op instructions, I'm to wear this for 2 weeks......one week from today, Jan 19, I have an appointment to have my stitches removed.....if all is well healed enough it will be activated at that time.....I'm hoping for that as I am anxious to cycle and get Mr Happy on a daily exercise routine.......

X-O I think you and I had surgeries the same day, I was original set for the 6th and they called and moved it up to the 5th, so today is 8 days post-op. I still have pain I would gauge at a 5. Very very sore, it appears most of the swelling has reduced but not easy to get comfortable, sitting or lying down. I've tried to move me shafypt in a more upward position, just not doable, very stiff pointed about 4:00. I took a short drive in my car yesterday and it was painful to say the least. I had my surgery infrapubic which I thought was less evasive thus faster heal time. Just wanted to know your progresss as a measuring stick. I hope your progressing well, sound as if you are. Thanks for your response in our journey.

Hi Sam......I had my surgery on Jan 4......two full days after my surgery the pain was gone and just a little soreness & discomfort which lasted for a couple of more days and that was the end of it......still have some swelling of the scrotal area and some bruising of the penis 9 days after surgery but no pain or discomfort....also, my balls itch from time to time... ......I was braced for a tougher recovery but I lucked out for which I am grateful......I'm walking around with a 3 o'clock semi......a week from today the stitches come out and hopefully I'll get activated.....

Who knows if it's the procedure, the doctor, or our bodies that affect our two different healing processes?.....maybe a bit of all three.....another mystery of the universe.....I hope your pain is gone soon.....

XO

I think it's all three. I had little pain with my implant and it was handled for a week or two with Advil except for the first few days of pain meds. However, I had ongoing pain in the glans where the tips were for quite some time.

I've had a revision and am really sore. New incision, lots of stuff inside swollen even after two weeks. I've read on this board where guys were sore for a LOOOOONG time. The quality of the surgical technique is definitely a factor and so is the amount of work that has to be done. In my revision there was a lot of cutting, scar tissue, etc so naturally, I'm sorer than the original, but I didn't expect it, and it's hard to be patient for it to heal.

Eventually, hopefully, we all get through it.

X-O / Jon,
Thanks for your replies. I had no issues in surgery, no pyronine desease so thought my progress would be pretty quick. I didn't even have a drain or cathadire after surgery. I really thought I could return to driving and go back to work next week, now I'm concerned that may not happen. On another note, I don't consider myself to be in terrible physical shape, 5'11 - 200lbs and stay very active. Hopefully everything in the recovery will speed up and I'm worried about nothing. From the look of my body, it appears the IPP went successful, I don't see and of the lines or feel any kinks, also the pump seems to be low which I've heard several complain about. Main issue is scrotum real sore on the left side. And from the shafts position, it hurts to set up straight like in a car seat or when getting up. The pain is scrotal and at the incesion which still has slight swelling. Anyway thanks for the well wishes, i plan another day of laying low, ice packs and a couple of hot showers.

X O

You might consider asking your doctor about warm sitz baths. After a period of icing many doctors switch you to that to aid in the healing. No matter how well the surgery goes, it takes some time. I'd give it 4-6 for most everything and 3 months to be totally pain free.

Thanks Guys,
my doctor is on vacation but returned my call. He said it's ok to hit the tub, I can't wait. I feel sure these will be more beneficial than anything I've tried so far. Will let you know the outcome, for now I'm off to find my rubber duck and mr. bubble, whooppee!!!!

HEY... I don't have any Mr. Bubble or a rubber duckie :(

I just hang over the edge with my Smartphone and play Yahtzee and check Facebook.

My pump is at the bottom of my rather hefty scrotum between the two boys. (AMS with RTEs) Perfect for pumping and deflating. ;) ;)

Rev Donnie,
I know you also had the infrapubic surgery, when did your doc approve you taking bathes? I don't think I have any stitches except internal, the sugical incesion was closed with glue. All I can tell you is the warm bath water was awesome, zero pain and it seemed to reduce all the swelling. Today was 8 days and the doctor said I could take showers after 48 hours and I could do soaking bathes 1 week post-op. I actually feel rejuvenated, just finished 2nd round. I never remember being this excited to draw a tub just to set in it by myself, wow!!!!! Don't judge me guys, this was the 1st complete relief I've had since the surgery.
