Glans Support
Re: Glans Support
The AMS web site says UP TO 20%. That is only if you can put enough pressure in the cylinders to overcome the tension of the capsule walls. I forget which doctor told me in an email, Kramer I tend to think but not sure who really, who said in reality the 20% is not possible in most cases. 3-5% was more realistic and nobody with a normally 5" erect penis was ever going to get a 6" after a year or 2. My understanding the design was to make growers have a fairly normal flacid and then grow but the capsule and lack of blood flow negate that theory. If I had not dropped my laptop a few months ago and shattered the disc on both hard drives I would probably find the copy of the response. Might have been Eid. don't know. In my case the perineal end of the tubing keeps getting bigger and I am sure it is because there is less scaring there, less resistance. Kramer did mention reading my post about that one time and found it to be a very interesting insight. I bet in the perineal area I can pump the cylinders up to 3/4" in diameter or more but no way they are as big in my dick. I am certain the amount of time you have had ED damage and your age has a major impact on how much expansion you can get. The ratio of pump to cylinder would also have an impact on how much pressure you can pump into the cylinder. Simple hydraulics. I have often wondered whether Coloplast or AMS has an advantage in the hydraulics and how much pressure can be applied to the cylinder. It would be very nice on these forums to have a knowledgeable implant surgeon without a sales agenda and engineers from Boston Scientific and Coloplast to weigh in with real data. Most companies I deal with I can call engineering and get answers to question. Coloplast I could never get past a person with no answers about anything. AMS never to anyone technical: more sales oriented. I know we all go about this with expectations of always the best and always the best we could possibly wish for but all that has to be put aside for some realism in weighing the possibilities. Many many studies mention our expectations are unrealistic. I think part is from over optimism, part from sales hype, and part from doctors that tell us we will be new and normal again, likely even better than new. My expectations were higher than they should have been in expecting to recover some of the lost length from the prostatectomy. Too many doctors have told me that is gone and can never be regained with an implant. My expectation from forum hype and sales hype had thought otherwise. I won't touch on the loss from the implant too as not everyone has that issue though I unrealistically thought that was only last minute ass covering by the doctor.

My AMS 700 CX just helps me keep the 7 inches I had before the implant. My Urologist Surgeon said I wouldn't lose anything and I haven't. No floppy head as glans is fully supported. Ask me about Dr. Edward Kata in Orlando, Florida.

Alibaba,
I work part-time in a church as an accompanist, so I worked my surgery in during a one-week fall vacation I take each year with my brothers. So, when people asked me why I'dd be gone, it was the "brothers' weekend." Then when I had my revision I scheduled it for 12/29 because the following Sunday was New Years Day and we only had one service and I wasn't needed there. So, I've gotten all my dick repairs done under the radar. I don't suppose it would have hurt to let people know what was going on, but it might have caused a little embarrassment on everyone's part afterward when they would ask "How are you doing?" I could say, "Well my scrotum is sore and it's tender when I pump up. I think it better I didn't go there LOL. Enough people knew. One friend at church, my brothers and their families and my wife's sister and husband all knew. So, I went without prayer requests on this one.
Oh, and my son is an alcoholic (not drinking right now) who is 38 and we're having to kick him out of our house March 1. I don't request prayer for that either because I don't want to have to talk about it with the choir during prayer time.

Sorry about your son. The penticosts we sold a part of our farm to for their new church have a way of praying for people yet evading what their issue is they need healed. Evades me at this time how they word it but the preacher and I visit regularly so we've talked about it. They do a pretty good job of keeping the subject out but getting the praying done. No problem asking for prayers for your son here.

Ali,
Dr. Kramer and Dr. Knoll are both saying be patient. Dr. Knoll says what I'm experiencing is totally normal and that he moved around a lot of tissue, just be patient it will be fine. So, I guess I need to chill until my visit on 2/6.
As far as how I'm doing with my son, that's very hard. I have a sponsor in a group called Families Anonymous and I'm reading and writing and working on that program and that is helping. My wife and I see a therapist every other week and that is helping. It's going to be hard when we kick him out, though. He's actually kicking himself out because he has refused to live by my house rules. And, he's been here long enough. But, he's never held a job and has mental troubles plus being very lazy. Brilliant. He's got to go though so we will make it. I appreciate your prayers.
I don't particularly line up with the Pentecostals beliefs on prayer, though!!

I do not particularly align with the Pentecosts either. They have some things I would call "issues" but they have been great neighbors and pray up a storm. The preacher and I visit often. He bought his house from us too and he is the one who had told me about them praying for people with problems they but do not want anyone to know what exactly they are. A state public health service we participate in deals with substance abuse people. Sometimes I will talk to a client for years before ever learning what put them where they are. Some I do not think there ever is an answer. Often I get frustrated and want to turn my keys in to the county and quit donating time. The very best therapies I have found is when guys are angry, make them split would if they won't take the maul to someone. You would be amazed at the hell yeahs when the wood breaks and mood change. Some guys feel so much better after splitting wood that they have called to ask if they could come split wood after a bad day. Another is, of the guys I employed; to stop every now and then and have them look at the work and agree with you that it is good. When you are finished have them take pictures to send everyone telling them they did this. Self accomplishment does a lot. Getting them started at either is tough. Hugs, prayers and whatever works your way.

The Pentecostals I've known are very nice people. I just don't share their interpretation of scripture.
