Would you do it again?

Postby wolfcreek » Mon Jan 23, 2017 9:23 am

For those of you who have defective, broken/inoperative implants, would you do it again (assuming you have to pay 100% for the surgery)?

I've had one revision..... So yes, I did it again.... And intend to do it again if necessary and possible.... I'm "fucking up a storm" in my "old age"...... Good luck

Maybe not if I had to pay full price and didn't have insurance. Right now my hospital bills total about 60K due to the need for a revision. I don't have that kind of jack to spend on my penis.

On the other hand, when I decided to get this, I asked my wife, I'm not that old yet. If I can't have sex, then why live?

If I had had to pay for it the first time, I couldn't have and I would not have an implant, so the paying part is moot really. I won't ever have to pay for another. I do have a revision coming up soon as my reservoir has herniated and needs to be put back into place. Again, I won't have to pay for that either. Paying for it aside, I would definitely have another implant if this one were to fail. It is totally worth the couple of months of pain and/or discomfort.

That's maybe a bit extreme. There are lots of people who live satisfying lives without sex. I am one of them.

Dave, don't forget that you are not interested in sex due to a stroke. But other people like me, for them means sex a hell of a lot. I agree, a live without sex is similar to a live without chocolate: useless.

I've only had my Titan three months and insurance covered almost all of it. If I had to do it again out of my own pocket I would. I'm only fifty. Too young to give up my sex life.

As the saying goes, "There's more than one way to skin a cat."

There is more than coitus to have sax. Having pointed that out, i am tired of the "workarounds" and an looking forward to once again enjoyng the full spectrum of activities only an errction can provide.

What I am saying is that there is merit in both positions.

I was obviously being extreme in my statement, but at the time, considering other negatives in my life, losing sexual ability just wasn't something that interested me. I wouldn't have killed myself, but at the time the thought of losing sex was dismal. I am sure I would have come around and made a decent life of celibacy if needed.

I knew upfront my insurance was not paying and went a head and did it and I don't have that kinda money just laying around it will be a payment plan.... but if I knew my surgery was going to be a lot more complicated as it turned out and a night in the hospital and all the extra expenses I probably would have had second thoughts... I didn't get mine just for sex mine was more of mental being able to preform so many disappointing attempts really works on a man or did me I have friends that have been impudent for years and fine with it I'm not one of those guys I haven't got any of the bills from the hospital yet I have the doc mostly paid ill just have to see if it was worth it in the future right now just get healed up.....but if I had to do it again if I could work the payments and not put the family in anymore of a bind yah I probably would do it again as soon as I decided made the decision it felt like the world got lifted of my shoulders
