Hi All,
I’ve been member on FT now for 6 years and live in the UK. I’m 42, married otherwise healthy apart from a pesky venous leak!
Pills had worked pretty well but I thought back in 2015 I had found a better solution with Scerothreapy (See Young Guys Herwig thread if you’re at all interested) offered by a London clinic but performed by a surgeon in Austria! I was stupid and hasty in my desperation to be near normal paid thousands of pounds for something that really only worked to for 15 months. The only upside (no pun intended) my wife fell pregnant in December but this was only after I underwent a vasectomy reversal last September!!! I must be crazy as I’ve already got 3 kids from a previous marriage and a step daughter with my current wife, whilst it must appear I like to anniversary surgery on my groin every September!!! This said we wanted a child of our own and at that point I thought things downstairs where ok whilst my mental health which post scerothreapy had nearly split us up had stabilised and I was back in a happy place after the initial shock depression when
things didn’t work properly for 5 weeks !
Come late December I noticed I was really struggling to get an erection even with 100mg Viagra, I didn’t panic at first because I had just received massive news regarding my wife’s pregnancy, however come the new year I realised things weren’t good. Today I can get about 50% erect with a lot of stimulation but can’t penetrate.
Either time has caught up with me at 42! Or Scerothreapy was always bound to fail at some point, I strongly believe 90% the latter because a venous leak I’m told isn’t necessarily about leaking veins it’s about smooth muscles and pressure build up, I guess over time and lot of sex trying for a baby some other leak had opened up, I don’t really know??? Other guys who have posted on this site reported some improvement for maybe a month or so, hence I guess I’ve done a little better although I don’t feel this way right now.
I am now looking at being implanted and have spoken to a London surgeon called Mr Amr. He came across very professional and works with the UK’s biggest implanter Mr David Ralph at the UCHL. Mr Ralph performs over 300 implants per year which almost half of all implant surgeries in the UK annually (This is fact for any UK guys looking for advise). Mr Amr has supported and lead many of these whilst after writing to Mr Ralph he gave him a glowing endorsement.
The private clinic that offered me Scerothreapy have been very supportive so hence why I’m putting my trust in Mr Amr, otherwise and without medical insurance I would have to wait months to see Mr Ralph on the NHS.
All this said any advice welcome from guys who have already received implants as this has come a few years earlier than expected.
If you think my story is like tales of the unexpected then try being me, I lead a quiet life before trying experimental surgery! Now its mayhem dealing with impotence, a baby on the way and a psycho-sexual Councillor who thinks I’m completely cuckoo!!!
PLEASE someone tell me it’s going to work out and I’ll be a bionic dad!! Very scared !!

42 years old, Venous leak all my life. Pills worked but not so much then I foolishly did Scerothreapy (See young guys thread). Now totally impotent and just want an implant to stop me from completely crazy.
Re: You couldn't write this so I have !!!
Had not seen you post in a while. Seems you were on another part of the board. Sad to say Schlero seems to work like that on everyone. A doctor I talked to said the body just finds another way to send the blood over time. Good luck with the implant. I have been very vocal not liking mine but the installation seems to be the basis why. I am getting it replaced in 2 weeks and expect at that time to be very very happy with it. No doubt that the implants can be great when installed correctly. Every day I see the great potential it has even though I was not happy with this first one. Congrats on the kid!
LGX 21cm .Milam 01/13/16. Horror; both service and surgical outcome. hated infrapubic installation. Kramer revision 03/01/17. 22cm Titan +1.5cm extender. Those who think their opinion is the only one that matters are a danger to themselves and others.

Thank you sir. I really hope you get some resolution to this. I dealt with a degree of ED at your age and it was FRUSTRATING! As it progressed worse it made things tense with my wife. Some days I wondered if I needed to find a jiggalo somewhere to take up the slack I could not do just to try to satisfy her. Tough $#it to deal with. Probably 500+ posts on the Herwig thread and it makes me sick every time someone wants to give it a try as I have ZERO confidence in it. I try to not look at that thread. In theory it sounds reasonable. Have a leak, stop the leak. Cost wise every young man wants a fast quick fix. In reality it rarely if ever works. Personally being familiar with the way veins work, there are many factors that can affect the valving in them ( yes there are little checkvalves) and the elasticity of them. Running a guide wire through them can also damage the tender inner workings. Cath lab surgery is not w/o risk of further damage. To me not worth the risk. I still take 20 mg of Cialis a day. Helps keep my BP under control too but it is easy to see how. When I don't take it you cannot find my veins. Tough to get blood work. When I take it ( in the mornings) my veins are huge everywhere by evening.

Thanks Alibaba and thanks for responding to new Herwig thread. Have you read Rocos response ?
Shit scared about implant but I'd rather not leave it too long.
Good luck to us all.

Re: You couldn't write this so I have !!!
I've talked to a number of the young guys getting implants as well as old coots like me. One thing seems clear to me. The sooner you intervene, the better the outcome. Some are lucky be it doctor skill or the way their body reacts to e.d. or both, but when you chart a trend line, the sooner to implant guys are well ahead when it comes to not losing size and satisfaction. Wishing you well.

What i do tell you, is that if you don't choose a surgeon that knows what he is doing, you are in a worse position than you were before. Think wisely.

Too late now, yes a poor choice and I don't make many. This was a terrible mistake though and if I keep going back regretting it will destroy me so I can only try and move forward.
