I have not heard the maximum time you can leave it inflated, but there are only two reasons to inflate:
1. To have sex
2. The cycle during the first few months.
Number 2, cycling" is for getting the implant and your dick adjusted to each other and gain maximum length. I've seen where guys on this board inflate twice daily for an hour. That's fine I'm sure if you just want to look at and celebrate your new tool, but my two doctors, both top in the field, say that 15 minutes once a day is enough. One suggested the most important thing is to pump up, and then in a short while, maybe a couple minutes, try to put a few more pumps in. This will hopefully get you as stretched as possible.
Some discomfort is fine because you are stretching but pain is not good. I've heard to cycle for 6 months. One of my doctors said 3 months. I'm thinking he's probably right. 3 months should be enough. However, my other doctor suggests 6 months for full length and if you have an LGX that supposedly you can get an extra 20% length in one year.
So, that's all I know. For me, I will stretch 6 months daily cause I need all the size I can get LOL. Have fun.
Will this really change my life?

I do not know from personal experience, but from my reading (medical journals, not popular press and not unsupported anecdotal stories), these things are apparent.
Cycling after surgery.
A good idea, and the earlier the better. After surgery, a "pseudo-capsule" of scar tissue begins to form immediately. My post-op therapy to break up this scar tissue took 10 weeks after my shoulder surgery. Daily pain, but my shoulder has pretty much all of its pre-injury range of motion. A co-worker who did not go through the stretching (and associated pain) cannot raise her arm over her head. A penis is no different. If you let scar tissue form, it will limit range of motion, in this case, lengthening (read: length recovery) during erection.
This article treats the subject better than any other I have read. Especially the part about "smaller in erect phase, when early activation is not performed". The link below will take you to a summary of the article.
http://nazionale2013.auro.it/abstract/p ... rosthesis/
Pain cause a significant rate of patients dropping out of the study.
My conclusion from anecdotal stories is that difficulty inflating the implant can be caused by this scar tissue pseudo-capsule around the implant. Difficulty DEflating the implant to a convenient flaccid state for everyday condition can be caused by scar tissue forming around the reservoir. So, you can have the implant inflated after surgery to achieve as full a length as possible but this will result in difficulty deflating the penis to allow normal "parking' of the penis and not "printing" in clothes, deployment for urination and comfort in everyday life. Or you can be left deflated post-op and go through the discomfort (pain) of inflating to break up the scar tissue before it forms permanently.
LGX and the 20% lengthening.
Myth. The implant DOES lengthen, but this cannot make your penis longer than it was pre-op. Dr. Eid wrote "No implant cylinder exists that can lengthen the penis. The only cylinder that expands in length when inflated outside of the human body is the LGX. The cylinder will lengthen by 18% of its total length. Once inside the penis this lengthening will not result in an 18% increase in the total length of the penis. It will merely advance the distal tip of the cylinder further into the glans; but the overall length of the erect penis will be the same as the length that it healed with the cylinder deflated."
Getting longer than you were before
Hopeless without a lengthening surgery. But getting as close to your full potential (what you had before) is encouraging.
Human tissues can expand beyond what they were in the past, but some tissues are more expandable than others. Skin, for instance is VERY elastic (witness people who gain and lose weight , stretching of skin for autologous skin grafts for burn victims or women in pregnancy). Nerves, urethra and tunica albuginea (all of which will limit your ultimate penile length) do not stretch much beyond the capacity with which you were born without much danger of injury. Restoration of lost length has been documented, however, witness men who underwent vacuum therapy years after prostatectomies left them retracted due to lack of erections for years. This is the best paper I have read on the subject of lengthening the erect penis (back to original dimensions):
Here is the abstract

Here is the full paper
http://file.scirp.org/pdf/ASM_2013012514045982.pdf
By my own experience, I can attest that this is effective. By my own experience, I can advise to go gently and to take your time with this. I developed mild edema and I have read first-had accounts of permanent damage from overdoing the vacuum.
There are surgeries to lengthen the penis, but these are involved and beyond the scope of treating erectile dysfunction.
How much time can I leave the device inflated?
I have heard 4 hours. But that may be related to the 4 hour erection advisory they give you with Viagra. Speculating, I believe there are two issues to consider. When you compress the tissues of the glans, you may contribute to the potential for erosion of the tips of the implant through the glans and skin of the tip of the penis. This would be bad. Secondly, with prolonged inflation, compression of the tissues of the penis likely will result in reduced blood flow through those tissues. Oxygenation and nutrition of those tissues is as important post-implant as before the implant.
Good luck and thanks for reading.

How? I'm only 29.
Get me excited.
Pro: You will have an artificially induced erection that approximates your natural erection. This substitute erection is 80% to 98% likely to be highly satisfactory to you and your partner(s). It will be reliable and long-lasting.
Con: You will have to pump it up manually for use and deflate manually when done. Your penis will be larger when flaccid that it is now (which may or may not be inconvenient for you). The head of your penis may or may not engorge when aroused. Probably quit working in 10 to 20 years. You are almost 100% assured you will never have a spontaneous erection ever again.

Re: Will this really change my life?
It's very possible that Implants can and will lengthen your penis over time. I am living proof, and have talked to other men with the same experience. I had an Ams 700 lgx replaced after 2 years due to a leak. The replacement was 3cm longer. I measured and after fully healed I gained about .75'' of an inch. I wouldn't say that a virgin implant will give you more length than your natural size. Later down the road though, when revision time comes, and for most of us it will,it is very possible to come out bigger than before your first surgery.

I have heard that revisions (and even first implants) can result in a longer erection than preoperative length. But with the amount of testimony from surgeons that this does not happen, I wonder if carefully accurate measurement of one's erection in the prime of life is often longer than the pre-op erection length we commonly use for this comparison.
On the other hand, testimony such as yours, ED2013, do give rise to the speculation that the surgeons and manufacturers attestations are simply attempts to "sandbag" and to reduce expectations where actual length gain does sometimes happen.
Thanks for the testimony,
Lost Sheep
p.s. I may be proof of the possibility myself. In September/October I measured myself at around 5" with a ruler. Now I measure a vacuum-assisted erection (by the markings on the cylinder) at over 6" which drops to 5.5" rather quickly when I remove the device, and shrinks slower after that. As a youth, I measured 4 3/4, but that was when I was early teens. In my mid-20's when I was at the height of my sexual energy, I neglected to measure myself. Pity that I didn't think to document my status.
You made me think.

Re: Will this really change my life?
Just the thought of getting it done improved my mood considerably both time. Seems like I instantly had more energy to do things. There are the doctors who claim ED is all psychological but E.D. from physical causes has a psychological impact on you and your partner. It gets to where it impact your mood and you work. Relationships take a beating. Anyone close to being honest will tell you so. I think the younger you are the more of a beating you and your partner takes. There is the mindset you are young and this is not supposed to happen. When you are old, and I had several doctors when I was in my upper 40's tell me, "you are getting old. Everyone has this issue at your age. It is time you forget about having sex and move on." I think it is absolute bullshit. Same as telling someone they are having a heart attack so you just as well die. If god did not want us to intercede he would not have given us the ability to.
LGX 21cm .Milam 01/13/16. Horror; both service and surgical outcome. hated infrapubic installation. Kramer revision 03/01/17. 22cm Titan +1.5cm extender. Those who think their opinion is the only one that matters are a danger to themselves and others.

There's a reason that a euphemism for "my penis" is "my manhood."

Re: Will this really change my life?
Likely to be uncomfortable if fully inflated all day at least for me but hours fine and less than fully but hard enough probably all day. The nice thing now that I am about 2 years out is that it just isn't something I think about much anymore as it isn't noticeable when not needed and very noticeable when it is. Always works so no anxiety. That said always check out all medical options first as they also work for many and know you have surgery to fall back on.

Re: Will this really change my life?
yes , the implant will change your sex life infinitely for the better. When you enter the bedroom with a woman, you will have 100% confidence that you can perform like the boss and that this might be one of her best love sessions ever. As others have stated, during the "pre-coital safe sex discussion" typical of encounters these days, you might want to say "by the way, I have had some work done down there; it is not something you will really notice, except that I get harder and last longer than most men" and then when she gets a worried look on her face and says, "ummmm, what do you mean ?" You can say, "well, for example, I am one of the few males that can have multiple orgasms " ... and then let the lovemaking begin !
"Strive to find the best surgeon--experience really matters"
