How long after implant was sex pain free?

Richard, have you returned to work yet? I'm trying to get an average on how long before I can return to work after the procedure.

I was activated 14 days post surgery......began cycling 21 days after surgery......pain from cycling gone by week 5 post surgery......

Every surgeon seems to have his own opinion regarding first activation. On his website Dr. Kramer recommends activation 4-6 weeks after surgery.

"You will typically a follow up appointment if you live within a reasonable distance of the medical center. This will be at about 4-6 weeks after the initial procedure, to “activate” your device, and make sure it works and teach you how to use it. Connie at 410.328.6087 can set up this appointment."

Richard: Agree wtih the other posters. We all heal at different rates. My doc (Khera in Houston) activated me at my 2 week follow up appointment because I was walking and navigating well. He said it was early, but I should not do anything painful. I had a dull ache or burn after having been inflated for 45 minutes for about three months after surgery. have patience, Ice, ice an ice. Internal swelling is the real key to being able to activate.

I'm going to follow Dr. Kramer's advice and wait 4 weeks. The only reason I was rushing was because I was told that if I delayed, it could result in length loss.

My problem is that I can't identify the parts of the pump because they're stuck to the inside of my scrotum.

Richard, I don't want to cause you any unnecessary worries.
But during the first two weeks when I had unusually strong pain in my scrotum, my doc (Eid) kept asking me if the pump was attached to the scrotum. That was a sign of possible infection.

I am sure you have mentioned to your doc about your pump. If not, I recommend you do it.

I just emailed Dr. Kramer asking him about this... His reply was....

"Extremely unlikely given that everything else is trending in the right direction. Infections would manifest with a lot of swelling, severe pain, and fevers and pus coming out of the incision.

You can't do anything right now but give it time, don't try to detach it or manipulate it- have to let time run it's course."

Here was my progress:

Day 7 after surgery: started cycling the device
Day 13 after surgery: agressiively cycling the device
Day 17 after surgery: first intercourse (almost pain free)
Day 24 after surgery: full session intercourse (two orgasms, three positions) almost pain free
