It's a pump from a sex store. The Apollo. I feel like I might be getting hard, but I lose it as soon as the suction is gone.

I'm getting pretty discouraged. Pills don't help either.

It is normal to lose the erection when the suction is gone. I can go from fully erect to fully flaccid in less than 20-30 seconds and fully erect to 3/4 length and completely floppy in less than 1 second.
If you want to keep an erection produced by a vacuum device, you need a constriction ring to keep the blood drawn into the corpus cavernosum and corpus spongiosum from flowing back out, and that ring must be applied AT THE SAME INSTANT as the vacuum tube breaks suction.
Were there directions with the device?
I use a medical grade pump, not for sex, but for maintaining the elasticity of my tissues, so I don't have to use a constriction ring. With a ring, sex is possible, but that ring feels like I am being strangled. Distracting, to say the least.
Good luck

Having the same problem . Get a good seal and pump to a full erection then leave the cylinder on for 10-15 minutes then as I pull the cylinder away my wife pulls the ring off the tun=be onto my cock. It stings to the point I can't concentrate and want it off. This coming weekend we're going to try pumping and using a steel ring. I also take 100mg viagra

Re: Pump not helping
If you wish to maintain an erection after pumping, a medical grade pump is essential. Even with a medical grade pump
you will need to "practice" using it. When I got my 1st pump I pumped to full, deflated, and pumped again. At first
I did this at least 25 times a night for months. In this time frame I noted several things, 1. I was able to "expand" more
in the cylinder. 2. I had less discomfort. 3. I started having morning wood.
Medical grade pumps come with different sized rings and you will have to experiment with various sized and type rings to
find the right one. After I started using a ring, I would pump up b4 my nightly shower, put a ring on to keep the erection,
and shower with an erection(like I was 17 again). Again, I noted changes over time, the discomfort disappeared or I got used to it and
the cold dick syndrome went away.

Married 50+ years. Use VED for sex and do
daily exercises with both water and vacuum pumps.

Luha71,
Don't get discouraged ... it just takes a little trial and error ...
Try using one of the type rings you see in the link below ... I've found the best way is to put the ring on first ... fold the ears into your VED tube and pump away = no more snapping pain!!

Hey have you had any problem with the ring and the implant in the same time? Is it safe?
How is the ring what you use?
Injury that caused venous leak.
In my 20s thinking about implant
