...Are TOTALLY IDENTICAL to my first surgery by Cornell.
However, when I questioned him on it both Pre-Surgery AND Post-Surgery, his answer was always
"ANY Doctor who tells you otherwise is totally lying" - so there's no way he would have suggested going elsewhere!
He also didn't seem to have any concern when casually telling me during activation - "looks like you are losing about 2" "
Sadly that was all before I knew about Eid and Kramer.......
Should it be a surgeon's duty to tell a patient to go elsewhere?

I spoke to Dr. Cornell a few months before I had surgery with Dr. Kramer.
He told me that there was no way that I could get a three-piece implant due to my prior pelvic surgery but that I would LOVE a two piece. I'd done enough research to know that I probably won't love a two piece. I said no thanks.
I asked Kramer if he could do the three piece and he said 'Sure, no problem." He did the surgery and it went great. If I had listened to Cornell I'd be a very unhappy person right now.
My point is to go with your gut instinct. If someone told me that I'd lose length I would have left.
I really have to wonder if most of the length lost is due to infrapubic surgery. The docs that do scrotal don't seem to lose as much length.

If there was a job that I could not do I always referred the customer to the best in the field.
I saw Dr. James Rybak in Belleville Illinois to try to get the LGX to work and a revision. The man was quite honest and quite nice. He told me that he could replace my implant but he would suggest I see Levine in Chicago, Eid in New York or Kramer in Baltimore. He was honest in stating that to fix the damned mess I had really needed a doctor with far more skill than he thought he had. I very much respect the man for that. Top that off, he was every bit as nice as Dr. Kramer is.

Great question, but if my first surgeon had told the truth he would be making less than minimum wage, he suffered from LOT which is short for "Lack of Talent"
I think the medical community does a disservice to all by protecting those who are not qualified and there are many in that category. Unfortunately I've never heard of any doctor revealing his lack of skill to any patient. After all they call their business a practice.

That's really admirable.

It is and I highly respect him for it. He spent a lot of time with me which he did not have to. He had a patient waiting in preop while he was trying to help me. My wife reminds me too that he said I should not settle for anything less than the best. Honorable man. After 2 experiences meeting Milam I have to assume he is too arrogant to ever do something like that.

Very interesting you brought this up.
When I asked Dr. Caesar about some others, such as Dr. Carrion in Tampa and Dr. Perito, he wasn't at all hesitant to tell me straight up about their reputations and what they were known to be able to do. Then, I asked him whether he could or would do as good a job as Dr. Carrion. He said very few surgeons were that good, but he would consciously make every effort to do as well as Dr. Carrion and would try to do even better.
I thought that was a very honest response, and I went with him. He was as good as his word. I am not sorry, and I would do it again.
