Recovery with this procedure appears to be far superior to scrotal.....if done by a PRO like Karpman.
Disclosure...I don't have an implant (injecting with success), but if I ever require one Karpman is *my man*.

Pundits have lauded and criticized the nuances of penoscrotal (PS) and infrapubic (IP) approaches for IPP surgery despite the fact that there has never been a prospective comparison of both techniques. Criticisms such as dorsal nerve injury and high riding pumps for IP approach and difficulty with reservoir placement with PS approach are based on dogma and not science.
CONCLUSIONS
Our study shows no increased risk of dorsal nerve injury or high riding pumps requiring surgical revision in IP patients. Penoscrotal patients had a higher rate of requiring separate surgical incision for reservoir placement, but risk of herniation was not higher in PS patients.
