A different topic.

Postby alibaba » Thu Apr 06, 2017 11:23 pm

Tonight I thought about reservoir sizes. I think they come in 60, 100, and 120 cc depending on brand and the size of your implant. Just because you have a certain size does not mean the doctor filled it to that amount. I have heard of filling less and even over filling. I pulled a 60 cc syringe off the shelf and compared. Thought y'all would find it interesting. Internal size of a 60cc is about 1" ( guessing) and about 5 1/2-6" long.

Would there be any benefits to having an increased reservoir volume (without overfilling), regardless of your implant size? Could it help with rigidity, regaining lost size, tissue expansion? Just some thoughts.

My advice: choose a world-class surgeon and make yourself the healthiest you can.

No sense in a reservoir holding more than you can possibly pump in. Capacity for some stretching over time makes sense but percentage wise that surely cannot be much.

Ali,

I think that at least for me, with a LGX 24cm, I want to have the reservoir filled to its fullest capacity. I always have been an extreme grower, so I want to have the peace of mind that I will have enough saline to streach it and go back to my pre op dimensions (7.25" L X 6.5" G) while maintaining the rigidity and the pointing angle.

Cheers!

Before my prostatectomy and the E.D. problems I was a definite grower, more than doubling when going from soft to hard. Now with the implant I am a show-er, with the soft length being just an inch shorter than my hard length. Is this a bad change? Not for me! :D

With just a simple cylindrical calculation, I see that a 5" girth and 5.5" long penis is roughly

length x Pi * R squared or length x Pi x (girth/Pi/2) squared.

If calculating in inches, divide by 2.54 cubed to get cubic centimeters or milliliters

179.3 cc volume of inflated penis
36.7 cc volume of deflated penis
142.6 cc difference between inflated and deflated

That is a lot more than the reservoir sizes available, even allowing for the error produced by the cylinder assumption.

Could it be that some of the difference (between reservoir volume and penis volume change) might be spongiosum engorgement or residual corpus cavernosum engorement (if that is possible)

Definitely, with sexual stimulation, both the glans and the shaft gets engorgement. I can tell you that I can still experience sometimes kind of morning woods. Even with uninflated cylinders, I can definitely feel engorgement. Really enjoyable...

I wake up with an engorged glans and a soft shaft. I call it my "morning wood-ette." ;)

The cylinders inflated still likely do not account for more than 2/3 of the penis that is has no spongiform engorgement. In your volume calculations it would be more accurate I think to figure 2 cylinders of a diameter maxed out of .75" by say 6 or 7" long considering part is inside your body and there are solid tips on each end. In reality my picture probably has little relation to what is in your dick but the 60 cc's is the capacity of the small size reservoir.

Yep, there are a number of unknowns and my thumbnail calculation leaves a lot out. But it does match your calculation within the broad strokes, I think.
