Presentation and consultation

Postby charlygoico » Mon Apr 17, 2017 1:56 pm

Dear friends, I am writing from Argentina. I am 42 years old and have long been with problems of choice, particularly a venous leak. I have erections but the problem is that they are difficult to maintain what causes me to generate anxiety disorders that later cause the lack of erections. Having made the introduction I wanted to ask some questions since I am analyzing to give a definitive solution to the situation. Possibility not to notice in occasional relationships? Can there be post-implant size problems? Which of the implant alternatives do you recommend? Thank you and greetings from this part of the world.

Welcome to the forum. Charlygoico.

My first thought is to ask, have you investigated oral medications? An implant is the most drastic solution, best reserved as a last resort. An implant will almost certainly destroy all erectile ability irreversibly.

Thank you for the answer, I tell you that I am currently with Cialis and viagra. The results are erections and posterior flaccidity. That does not allow to maintain a full sexual relation. That is why I am evaluating this alternative, to give a definitive solution to this problem that I have been for many years.

Your history is the same as mine except that I have also used Tadalafil (Levitra). It worked when Cialis and Viagra failed, for a time. It, too eventually failed.

I have not tried injections or the Alpostradil (Muse) penile suppository and am now seeking an implant.

You are correct that an implant (if properly done) will produce effective erections. I bid you buena suerte in your quest.

The most efficient and thorough way to answer your questions is for you to read through past postings.

This may take several hours, perhaps a couple of days.

But you will get a better overview than with just one thread, no matter how many people try to answer your questions.

The knowledge you gain from such a wide reading will be worth the time.

In this one thread you have created, each reply you get will be from one person's point of view and one person's experience, which could be limiting.

Again, good luck in your quest.

Charlygoico,

It has been a few days. I imagine you have read some interesting topics/threads and have some of your questions already answered.

You have probably found that Erectile Dysfunction (E.D.) without other complications (Peyronie's Disease, Prostate surgery, poor circulation, Diabetes, physical injury, etc) that does not respond to oral medications or changes in lifestyle suggests an implant.

You have also found that an implant is traumatic to your body, likely destroys any erectile ability you have now, expensive, can be expected to last about 10 years (ranging from a 2 to 20 years in most cases) and has a 90% to 95% success rate.

You have also read testimony that having an implant after having E.D. is akin to being reborn, better than nature intended.

What are your plans?

I will note that E.D. without complications in an average size penis calls for an AMS device because of its more natural feel and appearance. If you have a crooked penis in need of straightening or one that is very large (will benefit from an implant with a greater moment of inertia, or beam strength), the Coloplast device may be better for you.

Stay in touch. We are here to share our knowledge and to help where we can.

Thanks for the reply, I was reading many of the stories carefully. In my case I am a thin subject, I do not have health problems like diabetes, etc. Neither curved penis nor anything like that. Only my problem is the maintenance of erections. Since I have firm erections, they just are not durable enough to complete a full sexual relationship. It gives me the anxiety to do it fast for fear of losing it. That makes it very complicated because I always try and it usually ends up being frustrating. I've been trying to try for 20 years but it's still more of the same. That's why I started thinking about the implant alternative. And give you a definitive solution to the situation. regards
