What is the difference between CaverJect and trimix?

I agree with the above. And yes Caverject is Alprostadil. My compound pharmacy charges $42 for 5ml. They charge about the same for Trimix. Depending on your dose it can vary from a few bucks to about $7-$10 a dose. A far cry from $100 a shot.
I did call the pharmacy to see which UROs in my area prescribed and they readily told me.

I finally found a urologist who wrote a prescription for trimix. The pharmacy he works with charged me $100.00 for a 2.5 ml bottle of 18/1/10. It appears that works out to $400.00 for 10 ml.

When the "closer" came out and presented the program for $2300 I told him no way and he ended up working it down to just over $500 and I came out with a vial of Trimix, a supply of syringes, Auto Injector and other supplies.

Five hundred dollars is still way too much. Talon Pharmacy, in San Antonio, sells a vial of Trimix via mail order for $65. A supply of syringes costs less than five dollars. The men's clinics should be avoided entirely.

Point taken however will Talon perform a Doppler plus through past ED History, a test dose of Trimix and complete instruction as to how to inject and 24 hour backup in case of a problem? Just asking....

If you have health insurance, your local urologist can perform a Doppler and show you how to inject, A 24-hour backup? The only need for that would be a case of priapism -- a rock-hard erection lasting more than four hours. That's what the emergency room is for which you're also obviously covered under health insurance if you have it.

Again, if you have insurance, do some research in your town and find a urologist with a background in men's sexual health issues. Some of those doctors may have sample vials of Edex or Trimix on hand for a test injection. Overall, a health insusrance-backed uro is always a far better option than the men's clinics.

It's time to put this off topic thread to rest as the OP's question was directed at the difference in CaverJect and Trimix and not why use a Uro or a Men's Clinic so to each his own and as long as the person is satisfied with the results is what's important.

Holy shit, talk about backwards doctors. There must be a REPUTABLE compounding pharmacy in Tulsa?
Someone please send him the address of one if you use one. They should be happy to tell you who will prescribe it to you. Where I am, even my family practice doctors are happy to give me the prescriptions for tri-mix.

I called the main compounding pharmacy in Tulsa and wound up going to a urologist 80 miles away. Long round trip. Then back to the compounding pharmacy where I received the trimix with a long speech. That was April 19th. Now waiting until May 11th for the second appointment with the traveling urologist here before I can use the stuff.

He charged me a hundred dollars for the vial wrapped in cold pack which I assumed was 10ml. Imagine my surprise when I arrived home and found the vial to be 2.5ml. That would work out to $400 for 10ml.

Thanks for the information. I think I am getting into this now. I use the indian health service (no insurance) and they will not tell you anything. I first went to them in 2007. It has only been 10 years. Then I went to the VA who said they were looking for a urologist. Three months later they sent me to a urologist in Tulsa who would not write a script for anything but Edex. I already had a script for CaverJect. So I paid for an appointment with a urologist and a hundred dollars for a 2.5ml vial of trimix but I don't think this is going to work out either so I will probably be give Olympia Pharmacy a call later. One of these days ...........................
