Pumping my AMS 700 LGX
Good Sunday morning everybody from Tennessee. I got a question for the guys that have the AMS 700 LGX. I went this past Wednesday for my 6 week follow up and my first real full pump up. I don't have the length that I had before my prostate removal 4 years ago but that is another subject. My question is that I can only get a few pumps on the bulb and then it wont pump any more. Is that because the tubes are filled? Plus the bulb is really had to squeeze. I'm thinking that is because it still new. Any help would be grateful. Thanks

It is hard to pump at first. It will get easier as time goes by. When it starts getting hard to pump wait a few minutes and you can get a few more pumps in. Repeat several times. AMS LGX implanted 2/15/2017

Have you called AMS and spoke to the representative.. Based upon your implant he can tell you how many pumps you have to get full inflation.
I noticed you didn't give your implant size but, regardless a "few" pumps (4-5) shouldn't be all your capable of... The representative said the same thing rick61 said... Wait a few minutes and get another 2-3 pumps in but, that all being said; he said that you know when you have reached your full potential when you cannot pump anymore..
Give him (AMS) a call, great guy!

I have an 18CM LGX. It takes about 10 full bulb pumps to fill it. I pump again every 5 minutes or so and can usually get a few more each time. As I am breaking in a new one, I try to get enough in to cause some aching.

Thanks for the reply's gentlemen. How do I know what size implant they put in? Guess I could call up Vanderbilt and ask. Who has the phone number of the AMS representative. I can only get in a few pumps and it doesn't stretch any more.

I had a AMS 700 LGX implant Dec 2014. The pump will soften after a few months. Until recently I tried to squeeze the pump as hard as I could for as many pumps as I could. Lately I have been squeezing it just enough to make a little indention on the pump. But I do it maybe 20 - 30 times instead of the 8-15 times super hard. It works better for me, give it time my friend. Pretty soon it will be old hat. PM me if you want to talk, I live in Tn.

It has been discovered, since I began my 'stretching routine",that due to a built in pressure relief valve, you cannot over pump. There is no danger of over pumping. You will stretch to your size. If there is pain stop.

My LGX pump would get hard as a rock but I learned if I turned my grasp on the pump 15 to 45 degrees and tried pumping from a different angle it would pump easier. There was 1 position it would never pump. I guess those sides were titanium instead of rubber. d

Based on experience, keeping the deflation button pressed throughout the process slows it down. If you follow the instructions, keep the button pressed for 4 seconds and release it, the cylinders deflate faster.
If needed/wanted, grasping and squeezing the shaft is more effective after the pressure built on the cylinders does not push more saline to the reservoir through the pump.
