Help with Titan OTC

Postby shaman » Thu May 11, 2017 7:04 pm

Hi
I had a revision done 3 weeks ago, from a LGX to the Titan. I visited the surgeon yesterday and he could not deflate, he said to take ibuprofen to get the last swelling down, which I did and now I can feel the pump, I went ahead and squeeze and I got more erect and now I can't find the deflate button.
With the AMS, I had similar issues, but I was able to deflate finally.
I have tried follow the same guide I used with the AMS, but this pump just refuses to deflate.
Any ideas or suggestions to pinch the 2 buttons?
Thank you

Everything with the Titan is really stiff when they're new. I thought I'd need to use pliers to pump it up and to deflate. I also couldn't get the deflate button to work. Just keep working it and don't mind the pain. It will soften up pretty quickly once you get it to work.

I have heard that soaking in a warm bath can ease the valve and the scrotum, making manipulation easier

the Titan (or my three Titans) has "double release buttons" and they do take a lot of feeling around to find and figure out..... I usually "approach" this from the front with my fingers relatively parallel to the floor (when I'm standing). The "flats" of my fingers are about 90 degrees from the pump and works well with the flat buttins on my pump. There is generally no immediate "feedback" to let you know you are succeeding until it gets softer.

My newest Titan, when again has the "Genesis" pump, usually makes a little "vibrating" sort of feeling as it deflates. But not always.

Swelling does make all this more difficult. One of my surgeons instructions is 'pull down on the pump every time you urinate'..YES...do this!

Thank you for your replies, I was hurting so much that I told my wife we are going to see the doctor, he is 4 hours away, We left at 3 am, due to the pain, I could not drive, my wife drove and we had to take our dog with us, we took the dog to day care and we arrived at the hospital at 9 am, to learn that the doctor was in a conference out of town.
The assistant tried to deflate me without success, and she said "I am good at this" so she calls the intern and he tries and tries and I am in such pain, but I know that if he doesn't deflate me then, the consequences could be far worse, finally while he trying to locate the pads, I have to squeeze.
Finally he gets it for a second, just enough to make it bearable.

The reason no one could get to the pads is because I am still swollen, every one that tried including me could get to the pump but not to the pads, which are above.
Now I am taking ibuprofen 400 twice a day to diminish the information and hot showers. I am confident that by the end of this week I will be able to find the pads to deflate.

Hi shaman, glad you got it sorted out, sounds really painful.

Would you be willing to share anymore details on your implant procedures?
Who did the surgeries, why was a revision necessary, and why did you go from AMS to Titan?

Sorry in advance if I'm too curious. -ww

With the original implant, the surgeon was not able to activate for many weeks, he said I was still sore, I had to activated myself 8 weeks post-op, a lot of pain.
I thought that having played futball when I was younger, I might have hurt my testicles and that's why I had so much pain. Every time I pumped or deflate, cause pain.
At a different visit a different urologist said that it wasn't no normal to have such pain. I researched the issue and found Dr Carrion in Tampa, he just touched once and knew the pump was attached to the testicle. This made sense.
He said to fix it, I would need surgery.
I explained my other issues, I could feel the tubes to the reservoir, they bother and they also hurt frequently, I mentioned the appearance, which seemed as a paver had gone on top of my penis, it looked flat. He said it was up to me, if I had problems with intercourse, I should go for the replacement and I did.

I don't blame the first surgeon, having the pump attached to the testicle was not his fault, it happens. But I wished he told me that was the cause of my pain or perhaps it never occurred to him.

Dr Rafael Carrion in Tampa, a great surgeon, nice man, down to earth. The staff, I can't say enough good things to explain how good and caring they all were, from the initial visit to pre-op to the surgery.

To give you a example, they bring the medications you are going to need to the recovery room, you or anybody else don't have to go to the pharmacy after surgery. The pre-op is done in 2 hours, they are that good.

From researching this site, I gathered that people who had both, AMS or Titan, prefer the Titan. The AMS looks better when flacid and pump is better but bigger, however, I didn't get the implant so it would look better when flacid.
The first implant, the surgeon only did AMS, I didn't have a choice and I trusted his decision.
In my opinion the best thing you can do, is to listen to your surgeon, they are usually right. Apparently, Surgeons prefer the Titan for people with larger penis.
Hope this helps in your decision, I am not completely healed to give you my opinion, but from what I can see and touch, it is going to be great.

LMcatman:
I am not sure if I have the "Genesis" the model the doctor showed me, appears as the "OTC" pump.
My question: at what point did the doctor tell you to pull the pump down?
3 weeks, 4 weeks or later.
My swelling is almost gone and still can't reach the 2 deflate pads.
Now I can easily feel the inflate pump but not the pads.

Once you get to the top of the inflate pump how much up are the deflate pads?
The only time I touched the pump, it made a noise.
Thank you
