Scheduled for June 8th

Postby sliphill » Fri May 12, 2017 10:40 am

Well, I have decided to go for the implant. I will see the surgeon 9 days before the surgery, on May 30th. What are some of the questions I should ask. Last time I saw him, he showed me all three types, the malleable type, the 3 piece type, and the 2 piece type. He actually let me try the 2 piece one out, and it pumped up with only about 3 or 4 pumps. I kinda liked this one, as it seemed like a simpler design. He told me his least favorite was the malleable type, but said one of his patients was having one of these installed in a few days. He told me it would be an overnight stay in hospital. Fortunately, the hospital is only a 20 minute trip from my house. How many days should I take off from work. I work for a university, so this is a good time for me to take off. I can't say that I'm not nervous.

Just watched Dr. Eid's video that explains the different types and manufactures of penile implants. Very informative for sure. Now I know I definitely want the 3 piece one. I would say the AMS one would suit me better because of penis size. Anyways, I highly recommend watching the video to those who don't know a lot about these devices.

Ask him if you're going to lose any size. If he says yes, ask how much. If he can't give a pretty definitive answer, or if he says you're going to lose more than 1/4" or so, find another surgeon.

Ok Don, will do. I really do not want to lose any length if possible. Really, at 6", can't afford it.
