WOW, I feel very sad for you boys who are so young. I absolutely know what you are going through, I have had ED for about 30 years and really didn't do much until 2014 because I could still perform, just not so well. I have had Viagra, Cialis and inject the trimix.... crap, crap, crap. Your only guarantee to get a stiffy and keep it for as long as you like, is the implant, Go for it... you'll love it and so will your partners. Although I lost my first one due to severe infection, before I could it, I can't wait for round 2.

Re: 26 y/o considering implant
Sorry to hear about your infection. I am 27 and considering the implant. My penis just doesn't even feel the same as it once did. It's not as spongy. Does anyone else feel that way? Also, mine never fully retracts the way it used to. It's as though I pulled it off of its natural course.
To what do you attribute the infection? Is it just a matter of luck?
Thanks

Yeah I have those symptoms as well. My dick feels like its clenching together instead of expanding outwards when getting erect. Mine retracts though, much more so than ever. Did you get a trimix injection? I had one before an ultrasound and that made my dick not retract for weeks.

Unfortunately in the NHS in the UK you can't just ask for an implant, you sometimes have to go through the process of first line treatments / exhausting treatments before.
Going back on my last post, has anyone actually heard or know anyone who has had venous ligation and it to be successful in both the short and long term?

30 yo based in UK. ED for 9Y & complex med history. Tried pills, injections, dorsal vein ligation before implanted with 20cm Titan on 31-May-18. First implant had floppy glans + bad tubing. On 28-Aug-20 underwent a revision to 20cm Titan + 4cm RTEs
Re: 26 y/o considering implant
star,
Unless is venous ligation the same thing as venous sclerotherapy? If it is, I would never do it. If its similar, I would also never do it.
There was a member here who killed himself because of sclerotherapy. There are also some other members here who had it done, and then when they got an implant (because the sclero didnt work) they suspected that the sclero caused their healing time to be greatly increased for whatever reason.
Having been on this forum, and a separate peyronie's forum, for a long time, I have never heard of venous ligation fixing anyone's situation (then again I may have missed it). I have, however, seen implants fix many many men here.
Unless you can find a lot of guys here who have had success with it, along with decent literature supporting it, I wouldnt do it.

star: It sounds like you need to get a second opinion from an expert doctor.
There are a lot of subtleties involved with the proper handling and treating a 26 year old. I recommend that you get a 30 minute telephone consultation with an expert. This consultation costs 285 dollars, and the consulting expert physician will ask that you send your test results and pertinent records so that a true high quality medical opinion can be rendered.
Yes, it is a lot of money, but "you are only as good as the experts that you surround yourself with".
one expert who does this is Dr Eid and you can see the form for phone consult at the following:
https://www.urologicalcare.com/contact-urological-care/order-phone-consultation/
excerpt from that page:
"...For patients not residing in the NYC or the Tri-state Area, or patients who are unable to visit our office, we provide the option of a phone consultation with Dr. Eid. He will review the patient’s complete history form, interview the patient as well as obtain any valuable additional information.
A written report including an assessment of the patient’s condition as well as recommendations for further management is mailed to the patient within the next ten days. Many men and women have benefited from this service whether or not they proceed with treatment or procedure.
The Initial phone consultation lasts for 30 minutes and costs $285.00 (not reimbursable by any insurance)...."

Yeah, all bad... Skin, especially in some areas of the body, are just breading ground for bacteria.. especially the crotch. When we dribble urine on it, that, along with everything else can just result in infection. Not as bad as mine was, all the time, but some times. Other than following exactly what the Dr. says. I am diabetic to top it all off and that alone, has issues. Don't let it stop you. Infections, as long as they don't get too bad, can be treated. Good luck on whatever you choose to do. (I would get the implant, especiall if I were only 26 with almost my whole life ahead of me.

Re: 26 y/o considering implant
So today I had a dorsal vein ligation
Long story short, here in the UK and being on the NHS you have to usually go through the whole treatment paradigm before you end up with an implant. After hearing and reading negative reviews of venous ligation I was hesitant, particularly around the lack of success and reversion to previous state over time.
However, I would take any improvement at this stage and if it doesn't work then I'll be getting the implant. The operation was 1 hour and I was out this afternoon.......currently in no pain and very, very, very minor discomfort, so all's good.
I will keep you updated on the progress.......and for anyone who tells me to put this in the general section...STFU

I'm not 100% sure... I thought, using my skills and knowledge as a paramedic, I was being clean, but I think dribbles of urine might have contributed to it. I was very swollen so "shakin it off" wasn't gunna happen. Also, I am a diabetic so there are other impurities in the urine and due to the diabetes, I don't heal as well or as fast.
