If you're talking to medical professionals, why on earth would you not tell them you have an implant? Medical facilities need to know your surgical history for a number of reasons. Why try to mislead them?

No, no, no, not medical people, friends and family who ask "what did you have surgery for"?

I told nobody at all except my boss at work that I was having surgery, and he didn't ask what for. Since nobody knew, nobody asked. If they had I would have told them I had a plumbing repair. Nobody I know or am related to would press for details after hearing that.

I told them hernia repair.No one questioned it further. I did tell a brother in law. He thought I was bull s------- him.

And my female cousin asked a bit more, and I said "Reduction Surgery". . . . . . .

She loved my answer, and asked no more. . . . . . .

But, seriously speaking, I do tell all of my sex partners, and have told selected friends, and family specially if they indicate ED difficulties.

And others, because of a duty of care to my fellow males and married friends too.

You don't have to slit your wrists, go mad, or become and alcoholic. . . . . . . Just get an implant.

I am 53 now and have been suffering from ED since I was about 45. To my dissapointment it happened right after my divorce when I was ready to go hog wild. I have been using pills (mainly Viagra) ever since. So far they have been working great for me but I am now suffering from some very serious body aches and pains from them.

I have had several female encounters and some were long term relationships (more than a year). I never told any of them and I was able to hide it very easily. However, I have been with my current girlfriend for over 2 years now. I had to tell her recently because I could not take the pills 4 or 5 times a week anymore. It was wreaking havoc on my body. She was somewhat dissapointed that I had not been honest with her and she is dissapointed that we no longer have sex almost everyday but she is doing her best to be supportive. I am now searching for answers on the root cause of my ED problem. I also have very low T at about 225/ng so I am looking into that as the possible culprit. Just started on Anrogel and already noticing a difference. I have night time wood now all the time. It's somewhat bothersome but I am happy to have it back. Hopefully it will still work right in the bedroom.

If I was you...I would keep it to yourself unless you are going to get serious with someone. They have a right to know. I feel kind of bad that I tricked my girlfriend into falling in love with me before I told her. FT is a great place to share your issues because everyone hear can relate. Don't bother telling anyone else. They can't relate anyway and their best attempts to appear empathetic will be feigned.

Good luck mate and remember that everyone has a battle of some sort that they are fighting. You are not alone in yours.

Hey I suppose it all depends on your relationship to your family friends and Co workers.
I told one of my brothers and my father. They never mention it good or bad,
I told my current girlfriend of course, and 2 friends..
The 2 friends never mention it either. So I have not got much support
with the implant but it was a help to tell someone..


That being said before the implant the previous girlfriend told alot of people after I dumped her
that I couldn't get it up... I lived in a small town so I instantly felt paranoid and
embarrassed..

So I think if someone is having one night stands I personally would say nothing,
also if someone is starting a relationship and you hear your girl telling your personal shit about other
people I.e. friends and Exes, you WILL be discussed

I used the Androgel too and hated it. I didn't find that it worked and it was a pain in the ass. I now self inject once every three weeks and it works great. You should just take the plunge (implant).
