On my first implant, I had them swollen for about 5 weeks like a dark grapefruit. My walking was like an exaggerated imitation of a cowboy. No joke at all. It was really bad!

Damn. I'm scheduled to go back to work on the 19th. Hope it goes down somewhat by then.

As stated....swelling is normal and I went through the same thing......this is what I used as an ice pack.....good for 14 hours

That would be the New Zealand solution. Be careful: those sheep can be very seductive.
On a lighter note, my post-op experience has been the opposite of most here - nil swelling or disolouration but a super-tight scrotum, as if it's trying to reabsorb nuts and pump for self-protection. And, until this morning, tenderness and pain that's had me walking like John Wayne for 2 1/2 weeks - when I could walk at all, that is. I don't like to think of myself as a wimp, but it's been enough to reduce me to whimpering like a whipped dog. And that's AFTER loading up on the opi"oid"s. Never experienced anything like it.
Another weird thing: ice and cold makes it much worse for me. But a hot bath helps enormously.
Maybe it's one of those northern hemisphere/southernhemisphere things, like which way the water spins as it goes down the sink.

It's why my doctor put in a drain, which presented different problems.
When I think about retaining the fluid that was drained, I shudder.

I'm happy to say that the swolleness has gone down some. I can actually feel the pump now. Felt better today, that is until the wife had me go with her to get tires. Coming back after that I'm a little sore.
