Man, no problem at all! Helping each other is the real purpose of this forum. Otherwise, being around just to fill the threads of nonsense postings is a waste of time.

You can always count on many of us. So, there is no simple or silly question; this is such an important step we all have or will be taking that any advice or suggestion should be given with the best intention of providing comfort and assurance during this journey.
54 years old, happily married for 30 years to a beautiful & outstanding lady. Onset ED at 49. Finally fixed on 11/08/2017 by the master Dr. Eid with a Titan XL 26, no RTEs! Previously had 3 AMS implants (LGX & CX), all botched.

I would ask how it is that your Surgeon chose type of implant (Titan) before examining your tunica. Dr Eid wrote to me that he does not / cannot determine the maker/model until the surgery is under way.

Od course, there are certain conditions that clearly would preclude the AMS devices, requiring the Titan, but do those apply to you?

Lost Sheep that is a good question. I started this search months ago and 3 weeks ago I traveled to Atlanta to interview 2 doctors. Hakky a Coloplast guy and Another one that was a AMS guy. With Dr. Hakky I was pretty sure he wasn't going to recommend anything but the Coloplast. The second AMS doctor examined me and I was waiting for him to tell me all about the AMS. He look at me and said I don't use a lot of Coloplast but I would use one on you. So i am going with the Coloplast guy

It is my understanding that Dr. Hakky does use both implant devices. He is however a Coloplast specialist. He told me during my visits that he believes they are better. We compared the two devices and I could visible see the difference. Especially in the size the feeling between one to other was different. Coloplast felt thicker in general. Good Luck Tybeeman. I will be there the next day getting mine done.
