Agree with all of the preceding comments.......depends on the circumstances.
I travel most days partially inflated because the hinging in my Titan can be a tiny bit annoying. It's not a big deal but it means I have a partial erection all the time.
My partner likes to begin oral with my penis a little soft and now really enjoys the sensation of me slowly squeezing a few pumps in until I am rock hard.....she says it's all part of the fun!

I would recommend beginning foreplay with several pumps in so you are partially inflated and slowly and discretely give your pump a squeeze until you have the desired stiffness.

My aim in the future is to have Miss H use the pump herself......I love it when she is in charge!!

LGX and CX are different. It takes me about 30-40 pumps to a good hard. I never max out. I can pump indefinitely due to relief valve in CX. That's why stretching worked for me.

for my titan touch 22cm, It is 24 pumps to really hard (almost granite like). I use one hand, and it is one pump every three seconds. So, from full flacid to full erect is 70 seconds.

NOTE, if desired, you can walk around for an hour at 12 pumps. That means that you have just 12 more pumps to go for rock hard sex ---- ie, 30 seconds of pumping during active foreplay to get in those last 12 pumps

Tangerine... what happens if you pump faster, and 24 pumps is "granite like" but how many pumps do you really need to get the job done?

For an erection good enough for sex, 20 pumps. For rock hard oh-my-god sex, 26 pumps.

I suppose that some women will prefer the 20 pump version (more natural and slightly bending) while other women will crave the rock hard shaft of the 26 pump version.

Note, if the gist of your question is "can I hide the implant for a one night stand", then the answer is yes, and this has been addressed in threads called "hiding the implant"

No, that wasn't the question but you answered it. I wanted to know what would happen it you tried to pump the pump faster than once every 3 seconds.

ok, got it. As implied, if I try to pump once every second, there will not be enough time for the pump ball to completely re-fill with liquid from the reservoir. The ratio is roughly half second for my fingers to compress the ball, and 2.5 seconds for the ball to refill with fluid; thus total of three secs per pump.
