Skipping the "steps" to implantation

Postby Nocturne » Sun Jun 18, 2017 2:19 pm

It seems there are stages of ED and steps to implantation:

1. Viagra/Cialis
2. Injections
3. Pumps (yuck)
4. Implantation (return to a facsimile of youth)

Has anyone here skipped any of these "steps", and do you regret it or not?

Has anyone here gone through all of the "steps" and regrets having wasted time doing so?

I do not need an implant yet, but I can see that I have deteriorated and I need a little help with pills (2.5 mg Cialis EOD) at the age of 43. I have no illusions -- I am looking at needing an implant someday, the question is when. And since I have heart disease it is likely that I will not live long. Just don't want to be the butt of a joke that involves me enduring loss of spontaneity and enjoyment that goes hand in hand with injections and pumps for years only to drop dead right before getting an implant (Ha ha! Get the JOKE?!?).
Genetically sky-high Lp(a) of 390 led to various heart diseases. Ultra-low testosterone of 120 (now 480 with Clomid) also contributed to ED at age 41. Managing with daily Cialis, but for me, the implant is a "when", not an "if".

I more or less skipped the pump step. Oh I tried the pump a few times when the injections stopped, I tried using the pump with injections with no real success. So I didn't even both going full into pumping, although I read of some that had success with pumps. Yore pretty young at 43. I'm 62. But your right about the progression of ED. At first the pills worked wonderfully for me in my early 50's. But then they lost effectiveness, and I started injections whiched worked great for a few years. But then they started to become less effective to where they wouldn't work anymore about 8 months ago. I have heard that injections can cause scarring. I only injected for maybe 3 years at the most, so I did have scarring it was minimal. Was implanted 9 days ago, and can't really elaborate how the implant works. I would exhaust all other treatments before getting implanted!

I would try all alternatives for a reasonable length of time but begin to prepare yourself mentally for the inevitable need for implantation. It's not going to get better. I went for years believing that it would and kept getting the same outcomes.
65 Periodic ED since 20's due to venous leakage. Pills stopped working . Implanted 3/2012 removed 6/2012 in a"WTF Moment" after several complications. Re-implanted 4/5/19 AMS 700CX

1. I couldn't take the pills because of a heart condition.
2. I never really considered the VED pump but from what I know about it now, I wouldn't have chosen it for my permanent solution.
3. I next tried MUSE, a tiny pill that is inserted into the urethra (pee tube). Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Not my solution either.
4. I just could not bring myself to giving myself injections, so that was a no-go for me.
5. I had an implant put in and I love it (and so does my wife)!

I didn't use the pump, pills then shots. Implant done May 8, 2017. We will be testing the new equipment tonight. So far looking good pumped up. I am glad I went for it, wish I had 5 or 10 years ago.

I went straight from pills (all of them) to implant. Didn't waste time on the pump and I don't like needles.

Some insurances requires documentation that you have tried practically everything , (pills, shots, pumps, hyponosis, acupuncture,) before they will fork over $20,000 or more for an implant. I wish I had been implanted 10 years earlier. But I'm Implanted now!!! And yes I love my big dick!!! ;)

That is my plan too. The pump is a toy, I tried several models. I have a lifelong fear of needles so injections are out. I am going to try Muse as my last step before an implant.

1. Viagra, Cialis and Levitra over 2 years....sometimes reasonably effective but blocked nose/blue light etc.

2. Caverject maybe 20 times over 6 months in my 3rd year of ED....often very effective but pretty clinical.....didn't hurt, but I was concerned about scarring and its possible effect on an implant.

3. Bit the bullet and got a Titan 150 days ago. Awesome. I am a bit under 170mm in length and 140mm girth-depending on arousal levels, which size-wise, as I remember it, is pretty much what I always was.

From my view and understanding, if you honestly cannot get a full erection for intercourse anymore without messing around with pills and needles and pumps AND you have someone with whom you can enjoy very regular sex, get the money together, find a reputable surgeon and get it done!

P.s. At 150 days I am still inflating to burn level BUT I am not fixated on size because it's not such a big deal......it's what you do with what you have that really counts.
68,Titan Touch 22cm+1.5cm rte's op done in Melbourne Aust by Dr Chris Love-Feb 2017 Venous leakage over a 2 year period, did pills and Caverject. Length@ 3 1/2years is: 7+” erect, 6.5” flaccid and almost 6” girth. REZUM Feb 21 ejaculation now normal.
