Has ANY LGX lasted 10 years??
Has ANY LGX lasted 10 years??
The sales pitch I got was that it would last at least 10 years, probably much more. How sad I was when it blew out after just 4.5 years. Does anyone have an LGX that has actually lasted for 10 years or longer (without failure)?? I'm not talking about the CX or Coloplast or any other implant than the AMS LGX.

You are correct. However, they always point to the fine prints...

Man, I am sorry if I was not sensitive, but I have had 3 implants in a year, all botched, with a clear path for a 4th surgery.
So, I hope you can understand why I poster my direct statement.

I prefer not to answer at this point. Soon I will share my story.

I don't believe the LGX 700 has even been on the market for 10 years yet. So I can't quite understand how they can say that it should last for 10 years or longer. Just more "puffery" I suppose....

It is a new iteration of the Ultrex model, which has been in the market for a long time.

I got mine Sept 15, 2014, so I am heading toward 3 years but others have had the LGX longer. All I can say is the wife is happy with it.

Note that the Ultrex is off the narket and theLGX (my opinion) is more than a new iteration, but an extensive redesign which cured the failings of the Ultrex.
Not that the Ultrex was a failure...just that its success rate was less than stellar and the LGX is so much better.
