I cried! Then I went on Amazon and started buying supplies. I was out of the diapers and into the pads within a week or so (my memory sucks). And out of the pads in another six weeks or so. Urine loss does not seem worse after implant than after RP....and I've had three implants.

Biggest diff....I wear black cargo pants when I go out for any extended time.....doesn't show a wet spot if one happens. During my normal workday I wear Dockers, usually khaki, and really never have a problem..well, almost never.

Prostatectomy saved my life - implant improves my life.....UNBELIEVEABLY......Monday I had 3 girls for an hour and a half.....I could never done that in my youth....

Catman did you have leakage after your implant

Your progression sound normal. Kind of miss the maxi pad on cold day :). Seriously, never quit the keegels an and when you are able start doing lower back and abd exercise. I do notice that once I inflate I may leak a few drops but knowing the urinary anatomy that happens because of the stretching that is taking place. When inflating give yourself a couple of squeezes to get out the excess. Also, before inflating force yourself to empty your bladder. The when you are done do a few keekels to get rid of the excess and you will be find. Give it some time, our bodies have the great God given gift of adapting and overcoming adversities if we let it. Best of luck.

No more leakage after recovering from implants than after recovering from RP.....

I still have some leakage... Not much... During my work day... Desk job but up and down waiting on customers.... I very very rarely "spot" my khakis. I often have a little leakage during oral sex. Most girls don't even comment on it. I pee just before starting and once more midway through an hour session. Though these are professionals, a girl who's fond of you probably won't even mention it.

A question:
I know a guy..... not a close friend but one I know well professionally.
He had his prostate removed 10 weeks ago. He is pretty conservative and on his second marriage..... He is only 65 and lives in a small country town.
How do I let him know that there is a life after PC? How do I turn a light on for him?
I am 99% he would be unaware of his options.
How likely is that his Urologist has slapped a brochure for an implant in front of him?
I would appreciate some help on this one my brothers.

My urologist showed me an implant. I thought 'man, that's gotta hurt' and waited 2.5 years to get one...... It did hurt.... It's worth it....!!!

On the leakage front, post-RP I was in the big boy pants for a couple of weeks before working my way down to maybe 10-20ml/24 hour leakage at 3-4 months with lots of kegels.
Implant 40 days ago; leakage only slightly worse in the immediate aftermath and now back to where I was pre-implant, or better. Kegels are quite uncomfortable to do at the moment.
I still need to pad up a bit when getting on the piss: the alcohol/sphincter/pelvic floor interface is not totally under control yet. A number 2 pad is way more than enough to provide an evening's security.
Melbourne, Oz. Radical prostatectomy & titan implant at 60. Size uncertain, but big enough to hang onto. Nah, it's huge!

I am one week out and I am having to use a very thin pad but it is getting better as I go. I was surprised no one ever posted anything about having inconsistency again after the implant. Not near as bad as after my post RP

I also think there may be some dribble stored up in the penis shaft that is held back by the swelling postop and even now for me two years out by the slight pressure the implant tips have on the distal urethra that can give me a surprise dribble post void. Suspect your dribbles will go back to preimplantation once your penis and anatomy adjusts and swelling goes down. Kegels when you can. And try not to over worry and over think in the immediate post op "OMG was this the right thing to do" period of time many guys here go through. Hope your healing is rapid.
66 year old with ED intermittently for years and consistently for the 2 years before implant. Tried everything. AMS CX 21cm+1 cm RTEs Dr Kramer 4/29/2015.
Revision 5/3/2021 AMS CX 700 21cm+2 cm RTEs.
Revision 2022 Titan XL 24 cm no RTEs.

Thanks RelievedofED1, Yes it is slowing down. I think it is something us guys need to be aware of. I have cut out all alcohol and caffeine till I get healed. I did that after my RP and was off protection in 3 months which was about average. When they told me I had to started wearing a pad again I was sick last week
