2 week mark, oh yeah. I saw my doctor yesterday and he removed the rest of the staples. I told him it felt like it deflated a little. He said it feels that way because the swelling has gone down a lot more. He said it is looking real good, pump is in great location. He told me again to place my penis pointing down, so this is what I'm doing. But with it partially inflated, and pointing it down, seems to put a lot of stress on it. My thought is I don't want to blow it out, but I guess the implant is pretty tuff. So on 7/25 he will activate it. :D

Well, I have not posted in a while on this thread. Today is exactly 3 weeks. Doing great. Getting more and more used the new me. 4 or 5 days ago the pump dropped. Two days ago I noticed the pump really moves around more easily, so that tells me that even more swelling has gone down. Looking forward to the activation date, but man that is still 4 weeks away. I don't know why my doctor is waiting this long. I am hearing of guys getting activated 5 or 6 weeks after surgery. But he's the doctor, so I'll wait.

I read a study wherein activation was at two weeks (to test the benefits of eatly activation) on prevention of formation of a pseudocapsule around the implant (coffin effect).

Sure enough, there were benefits, but the study was hampered a bit by a high dropout rate. The pain of early inflation was too much for many of the men to stand.

I had never heard of this, but I googled it, and sure enough, there it is. I guess I didn't do enough research. Do you think 7 weeks is too long? If so, I might call the doctor.

Based on my experience with three implants, the physicians' philosophies vary. The most aggressive was at week #4, the more conservative was at week #6.
54 years old, happily married for 30 years to a beautiful & outstanding lady. Onset ED at 49. Finally fixed on 11/08/2017 by the master Dr. Eid with a Titan XL 26, no RTEs! Previously had 3 AMS implants (LGX & CX), all botched.

Was that the study by Caraceni?

I expect the answer 7 weeks vs 2 or 4 or whatever is highly individual, depending on, among other factors, how quickly your body forrms scar tissue, post-op swelling, how much your surgeon left your implant inflated (20%, 40%, more?), your pain tolerance. As a layman, there is no way I could answer that.

Yeah, well I trusted him with the surgery. I'll trust his decision to wait 7 weeks. I guess it's more like 6 1/2 weeks. I still have some swelling. If I had to guess the inflation, I would say 20%. I couldn't imagine pumping it up now. It's still tender.

I'm off work, and we got seat belts that need to be put back in the car after I sent them out to be repaired. I put one back in, and was in the back seat. Having to readjust my dick, I'm just wondering if I can damage this new implant, and maybe I should wait before doing this. Being that it is partially inflated, I don't want to put any undue stress on it for fear of it blowing out. No, I'm guessing I should not be doing this.

Goddammit, man. Rest the weenie!
