5 inches and finally approved...
5 inches and finally approved...
Okay. Just heard from uro's office my coverage is approved, leaving me with $1,100 to pay out of pocket for implant. My only remaining concern is with how they determine the implant size. The doc made a gentle tug on my flaccid cock and said 12.5cm which he said puts me at average length. That's just a hair under 5 inches. A natural erection was a little over 6 inches before. Do you ALWAYS end up with less length? He said he'd use an AMS CX in me and wasn't really participating with my questions about other models. Any comments?
Became DaveKell 2.0 on July 18th with Dr. Allen Morey in Dallas, TX. AMS 700 CX implant. 18cm with 5.5 RTE's.

Don't even waste your time trying to guess or calculate what it is going to be. You will be a sleep when they determine that. I did a ton of research on it and lots of measuring. I came to the conclusion that i was going to get a 20cm and maybe an RTE. I was happy with that. Well I ended up with a 22cm with a 1cm RTE. I think that Doctor Eid is one of the few doctors that gives you an injection and then measures you to get close to the size. But even then he still measures you while you are a sleep. I really think those doctors like everything else they do, cover their ass. Can you imagine if one of them told a patient that they were going to get a 20 cm and it ended up smaller? I bet someone would file a law suit.

...I'd check w/ Dr. Kramer or Dr. Eid before you make a move. Either one would've gone into greater detail as to the two brands/models. As for potentially ending up with less length...not if the procedure is done correctly. With my AMS 700 LGX, I have actually gained both length & girth through regular cycling...couldn't be happier w/ both the unit and the experience I had in Baltimore w/ Dr. Kramer...if your insurance is covering the procedure, why not check & see if either Kramer or Eid are covered as well?
...69 years old, married over 30 years, serious ED for around 10 years. AMS 700 LGX 21 cm +3 cm RTE implanted by Dr. Andrew Kramer on Dec 7, 2016.

Oh for god sake... there are lot's more great surgeons out there then Kramer and Eid. To answer the question, here is a link to a video that shows how they measure: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2CsuFb3gOCE I deliberately got one without Kramer or Eid to show that there are others out there that know what they are doing. If you notice in the signatures, there are a lot of different doctors and lots of happy clients who are singing their praises.

Beware of "average length" About one third of the implant length is inside your body.

Dave I would ask him about the AMS LGX, and as long as I have been on FT I have never heard anyone say they didn't loose length

...as to other great surgeons out there who can also do the procedure, that's true. There are also a sizable number who don't have the requisite experience to do the best possible job in every circumstance, and that's a charitable assessment. Needless to say, you want this procedure done right the first time...the horror stories of botched procedures are all over Frank Talk. Kramer and Eid have outstanding track records...I chose Dr. Kramer but I'm sure Dr. Eid would've done a great job as well. I didn't want to take a chance & went with one of the best...Kramer's reputation is well-deserved...did an absolutely spectacular job for me both before and after the procedure...as I said, I didn't want to roll the dice with my package...

Just wondering larry, did your surgeon use the no touch technique?
Titan OTR. Dr. Hakky - successful surgery and very happy with outcome.
My advice: choose a world-class surgeon and make yourself the healthiest you can.
