pain where cylinders bend up/down??

Postby wolfcreek » Wed Jul 05, 2017 2:03 am

My penis is constantly sore (over two months since my implant now) where my penis bends up/down. I generally try to keep it up against my body in my underwear (per my surgeon's instructions) by the way. I suppose the pain is caused by the crease in the cylinders rubbing against the surrounding tissue. Anyone else have this problem?

Only slightly and more so up to the 100 day mark. I remedied it .... and still do by keeping myself 1/3 inflated.
Are you AMS or Coloplast loaded?

I tried that the last couple of days but it didn't help. Maybe I pumped it up a bit too much?

Wolf - I have ams cx as well, and had same pain you're describing, finally got better after months of working on scar tissue and pump moved to better position. Smetro, how do you stuff it in your clothes 1/3 inflated? I deflate it as much as I can and still can't hide it in my largest pants.

At 1/3 inflated I can only just feel the clinders and by being partially inflated the cylinders become rounder and lose the Titan 'kink' or 'hinge' effect.
My penis leans to the left so he sits pretty much horizontal across ways.
He is a bit noticeable in some clothing but 'what the hell?"
I was done in early Feb this year and the whole shebang has become increasingly pliable and more comfortable as time and usage have ticked over
still cycling twice a day albeit only for 15 mins/session

Penile Implant specialist here...penile soreness CAN be a sign of infection, but there could be tubing at the site or the pump could be high-riding. Also, if the Ipp (inflatable penile prosthesis) is oversized, there could be pain. If it all looks good, the pain should resolve with time. However, it's very tough to tell going by description only. If you were my patient, my recommendation would be for you to come in so I could take a look at it.

Dr Blick is totally right. Any serious discomfort may well need specialist diagnosis.
Franktalk exposes and highlights the diversity of levels of discomfort and pain across a broad spectrum of implantees.
Looking back over a trouble/complication free 160 days since I was implanted, my body progressively accepted my implant and any pain and discomfort has resolved to the point of everything feeling normal. Time seems to take care of most issues.... perhaps in combination with plenty of usage. :)

Thanks for the replies. I am only about 9-10 weeks post implant so I will give it a few more weeks to see if the pain resolves. I am more worried about the high-riding implant right now. It occupies the space where my right testicle should be, and it pushes that testicle high and to the outside (against my thigh).

Numbness along bottom of glans is also a problem - cannot achieve orgasm via sex, and only with great difficulty via masturbation. Hopefully the numbness will resolve itself over time....

Its early days for you, I do recall having concerns and discomfort until 16 weeks or so but they have resolved now at 6 months.
Pump placement is interesting and it seems varies a bit from case to case.
My surgeon had me tugging it down in the first 10 weeks and it is now centred in the bottom of my nutsack with my balls either side. It works well but its pretty obvious that it's there!
Are you Titan or AMS?
