No revision surgery

Postby DonBecker54 » Thu Jul 06, 2017 2:20 pm

I was scheduled for revision surgery with Dr. Eid on 7/19. My blood count is waaaaaaaay too low, though, so surgery is out of the question.

Don,

I'm so sorry to hear that. Hopefully you can have it done in a few months.

Sorry to hear that Don. Yogurt, zinc, selenium, garlic, and folic acid are all said to raise the white blood count.

Very very sorry to hear this. Sending you a hug via many electrons. Did you talk to your doctor about using testosterone to bring your counts up? I had brought this up to several of my doctors watching my own labs. They all scoffed at it so I started charting my T and blood counts writing a script for draws every month so I had a lot of data. There was direct relationship. Showed 2 years of charting to my internist and now he is a believer. Have faith bud. You are in our prayers.
LGX 21cm .Milam 01/13/16. Horror; both service and surgical outcome. hated infrapubic installation. Kramer revision 03/01/17. 22cm Titan +1.5cm extender. Those who think their opinion is the only one that matters are a danger to themselves and others.

There's now chance it will come up in time for the surgery.

I've been given a couple of blood transfusions for white cells and platelets, but they didn't have any great effect.

Well, that just sucks. Sorry for your bad luck my friend. Did he say when he will be able to try again? Is there a new date set? ;)

We agreed to wait until my blood numbers get back to normal. That may happen, or it may happen.

As for yogurt and such, I don't mean to be snippy, but Leukemia is a 100% fatal disease. My chances of living just a couple more years are less than 5%. I don't think some items from the pantry are going to do the trick. If they did, I'd be getting IV's of yogurt every day.
